Ok guys,

I know a few people had a New Year's Resolution to quit smoking.

I have tried to quit at least 5 times and I have bee smoking for over 15 years.

I recently had a heart attack scare so I am trying once again to quit.

Anyone else?

Best of luck with this Kook. I gave up quite a while ago but just keep it in mind that it does get easier and it will pay off.

Good for you.

So true the longer you go the easier it gets, give yourself a month and you'll say, damn I can't believe I used to smoke that nasty smelling shit. I smoked for 5 years straight, then quit cold turkey. I got sick of always coughing all the time. I quit for 3 years on the spot. This was cigarettes. I still do not smoke ciggs, but I do smoke other things!

Best of luck to you Kooky!

I bought my last pack late December. Although, I am the type that will smoke for a couple months, then quit. I never get too addicted to them.

Nice on guys. Go for it. My dad had a heartattack when he was smoking a fag and smoking was probably the biggest factor. He hasn't smoked another since. Good luck

I quit about a month ago....2nd or 3rd of january max.... (quit alcohol and drugs 3 months before that) Im getting cravings for everything lol I hope I quit for good this time...I quit last time for 1 month,....once before for 4 months....SMOKING SUX

Still not one puff.

Pretty stressful and hectic few days as I was out of town on business and just got home! I have decided that if I can do this. If I can quit this habit of over 15 years, I can do ANYTHING! I can reach all me Penis Enlargement and Body goals for the future!

Believe me man. If I can give up the smoke, you can give up the snuff!

I have done this Cold Turkey. My onky help has been Zyban, no gum, patch or other nicotine products!

not sure if this would help but I know a guy who got hypnotized and everytime he would light up and inhale it he would get sick. everyone hates getting sick so it helped him and his mother quit. both smoked 20+ years.

Nicotine's bad enough in excessive doses but it's all the other horrendous crap they pump into ciggies that'll addict ya and kill ya quicker 'n' shit. Them damn cigarettes is bad, bad, bad. A good Cuban, on the other hand....

Make the transition to (really ) better life progressively.

People that are willing to lose weight cut more than 500 calorie per day... which is unsustainable...

People that want to quit smoking do it right away, no more cigarettes... Well wouldn't it be less painfull ( cauz it's a heck of a hard challenge) if you'd lessen 1 cigarette per week, meaning if you smoke 25 a day...
1)smoke 24 /day first week
2)smoke 23/day 2nd week
3) and so on...

It's logic, same thing in the gym. People expect RAPID results, so many people quit because they do not gain fast " enough".

To an extent it's same with pe as some people don,t see gains coming for 1-2 month they give up... That is to an extent as NO gains compared to little gains isnt the same...

But I think you get the point. You might want to try that.

ggogeta: I had smoke for 4 years and I got sick and had a soar throat so it was impossible for me to smoke for 4 days. After that i was able to not smoke any more ciggarettes and didnt really crave that much. After 2 to 3 weeks i wasnt even thinking about it. It has now been 7 months since my last ciggarette. I truly believe in quitting cold turkey if you can manage to have a shitty couple weeks which isnt that long.

Hey mike5, and welcome to the forum :)

Well good for you I know many people that had to restart smoking because that was TOO HARD for them. Chances are your body is stronger than the majority regarding this issue :) Good thing

Hang in there Kooky!

How is it going so far?

In all seriousness a alcoholic drink a day will keep the doctor away and make you live longer.

It's still going good. I still feel like I could smoke 10 at one time when I get stressed at work but I always ask myslef this easy question, "How will smoking change anything that has happened today or make it better?"

When things get bad, I also do some very deep breathing exercises and I really feel the difference when I take deep breaths now.
