The Newbie program includes a kegel workout. I'm a bit doubtful of kegels for a few reasons.

1) People say that kegel exercises help prevent premature ejaculation. However, I notice that my urge to ejaculate increases when I perform a kegel. When I reverse kegel on the other hand, the tension subsides and helps me last longer as a result.

2) I've heard that doing frequent kegels can make the muscles surrounding the anus tighter which can lead to pain and discomfort when doing something as simple as sneezing, laughing or coughing. Also read somewhere that doing too much can cause tension to the prostate.

3) Finally, I remember doing kegels in the past for a short period of time and noticed that I actually came faster than before I practiced kegels.

So basically what's going on? I am confused.

Kegels are more of an erection strengthening exercise and should not cause you to orgasm faster. The use of Kegels with Reverse Kegels are what helps in endurance and striving off the urge to cum but this works differently for different people. My advice is to keep working the Kegels as written to strengthen your erections and allow you to hold more blood, enlarging without strengthening muscles will end up with weak erections. Since Kegels train the entire pelvic floor muscles all areas of this broad spectrum of muscles will be strengthened, including abs to the ass.

Kegeling too much during the act may indeed bring you to orgasm faster but, so long as you can control the muscles responsible, you shouldn't have to worry about that. Reverse kegeling is considered a great way of alleviating premature ejaculation.

It is a great way but it needs to be mastered. For every man there seems to be a certain sequence that works for him. Practice, practice and more practice to mastery.
