Penis size trough the ages, has the human penis had any variations in size,girth, from the ancient egypt to the middle ages to modern times,has the penis size increased in some cultures and decreased in others? maybe in the asian cultures apparently they have been dealing whit smaller sizes,on the other hand the african cultures they have bigger penises i was watchin a graphic about the penis size worldwide and the average size in congo is 17.93cms,there are some many causes why some cultures have been blessed whit bigger penises than other cultures....

I don't know for sure but we are gigantic compared to our ancestors so far as height and mass. We're evolved hobbits.

Penis size varies in different cultures and history has also effected the way each culture sees size. Ancient greeks believed a smaller penis was better than a larger one. Asian cultures have put little importance on size but celebrate the penis in ways no other culture does. In the very young USA, just like everything, bigger is better. There have been some very good articles on this, LIGHTNING recently wrote one that I will try to find and post for you.

Since the dawn of time man has had penis. Some penis the size of grape tomatoes, others the size of industrial pipe (see dld).

As longth said, we have gotten physically much larger than our ancestors of even as recent as a few centuries ago. I am sure this applies to penis size as well.

One thing I heard that makes sense to me is that penis size in a society is directly related to how monogamous that society is. The more monogamous the society, the smaller the penises will be. I agree with that hypothesis because a society that has more monogamous relationships will have the women sleeping with fewer men, and thus become much less likely to come into contact with a man with a huge cock and to get pregnant from him. Those societies where the women sleep around more will have a larger choice about their sexual preference, and be more likely to have a child with a well endowed man.

From what I heard based on that hypothesis, they say that is what explains the general idea of the smaller East Asian penis and the larger African one.

It is true! Height continues to grow more and more ( Human height - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). Compared to the first homo erectus species- we (ok, maybe all of you, not me) are MUCH taller.

Sound legit, it can also explain why human height has evolved as much..

Penis size comes from the surge of hormones the mother produces in the third trimester, especially estradiol. Testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone may also play a role.

So all men out there with naturally large penises need to thank their mama.

Yes, you can see the preferred penis size of any culture in the artwork of that time. Greek statues are usually shown with a small penis and that is because that was what was perceived as being good at that time.

Sorry, but I have to disagree here. I don't think penis size can be entirely determined, or even determined to a very large extent, by anything that has to do with pregnancy.

If a child is born and, for example, receives very little proper nourishment throughout life and barely survives, I am sure they will lack their true heights, penis size, and muscle tone.

Also, genetically speaking, a child can receive genes randomly from either the mother or father. Just saying...

There are a lot of factors surely, but to my understanding the primary contributor to penis size is the mother and her hormone levels during pregnancy. Look it up.

It's just an art style called Apollonian (iirc). There's a lot excuses that it was supposed to be about 'advancement and concentration on higher matters than animalistic things such as the penis' .. but the reality is that it was the complete opposite of that. It was dedicated to absolutely concentrating upon the penis ... but whenever possible upon the penis of athletic hairless pre-pubescent boys, which were preferred/sought/osculated by many of the rich men (people who not-coincidentally were patrons of the arts) and by many of the military commanders. (There being more than a little overlap in those two categories.)

Out in the normal populace, size mattered. This can be seen in remaining pottery and home and bathhouse and even temple decorations of small penised males being depicted as either subservient to/or lonelier than larger penised males. Outside of many homes was an 'apotropaic' art item featuring a large erect penis, head, and balls to ward off evil.

( .. or maybe just to ward off the crazy old rich dudes and military commanders, lol.)
