sponge,
>Well guys, I thought dropping the weight had solved the problems but they returned. I had to hang more sets to get fatique and that's when the bruising returned. Looks like I may have to go back to SD and BTC hanging and just hope for more gains.<
First, are you sure this is bruising, and not just discoloration? You believe there is actual blunt trama in the area? If so, there must be something wrong. Either the wrap is too tight, or not elastic enough, or something is up.
I must ask another question. You said when you went up in sets, the bruising returned. Did you go up in the number of sets slowly? What was your progression? How often did you add a set? Just as with weight, you must give the soft tissues time to adapt to time increases also. It takes time, weeks/a month or so, to work up to the correct balance of time and weight to bring on fatigue for each angle.
You said, "had to hang more sets to get fatique and that's when the bruising returned". Was your first goal reaching fatigue, or allowing time for the soft tissues to adapt to the new stresses? It has only been 12 days since you dropped the weight. I am worried that you added too many sets, too quickly in those 12 days. Or did you not drop the weight enough?
I just do not want you to switch angles without looking at all the angles, so to speak. If you need to hang OTS, then you need to find a way to do it, and give time for the tissues to adapt to that angle. As I have said before, too many times, guys abandon something, a new angle, because it seems tougher than their original efforts. But in reality, they just are disheartened because they thought they had everything licked. Every angle has it's own challenges.
