Hey,

I'm going to purchase new chairs for my living room and would also consider buying a chair which I can use while hanging infront of the TV.

It's difficult, if not impossible to hang BTC in a normal armchair, so what kind af chair would you hanging guys out there recommend me to use as my hanger chair - maybe something like a bar stool or what ?

Please post a picture of the chair you use for hanging and describe what kind of hanging routine you do in that chair ?

This shit's never comfortable lol. Um, ...you could get a chair with long legs ...one you dont care about cutting a hole in, cut a hole in the middle of the seat that the hanger will go through and hang through the hole. ;)

That would be quite the conversation piece if you had company. To complement that setup I would recomend putting your clone-a-bone on the coffee table as well.

In fact I'm thinking seriously of buying this chair:

or this one:

Maybe this one in wood would be easier and more comfortable to sit in when the hole in the middle has been cut:

Thay all cost the same approx.

But not sure which one would be the easiest one to cut a hole in the middle of the seat :s

But I'm now sure that the solution is going to be to cut a hole in the middle of the seat and hang straight down this way or BTC.

Which one would you buy ?

dr. r,

Those are all really high. If you use a weight stack, and have the weights hanging horizontally, you do not need that much height. I have seen pics of guys hanging on a low couch, BTC, with the strap adjusted short on the hanger.

Office chairs can be expensive. But you might be able to find an adjustable height chair that tilts back. I would say that is optimal. Usually, when you tilt one of those suckers back, it gives you many inches of height on the front edge of the seat.

Usually about once per year, universities will have auctions selling off furniture. You can pick up a damn good chair for almost nothing. Or several of them.

dr. r,

Meant to add. Put some more thought into this. Whatever you get, be sure that it will be comfortable, and something that you will not hesitate to use on a regular basis. Your success in hanging depends a lot on your setup, and how willing you are to use it daily.

You are SOO rigth, Bib.
It really needs to be comfortable - otherwise it's going to be diffucult in the long run and may cause back pain.

But I don't understand how you can hang with the weigths placed horisontally - does anyone have a drawing talent, so they can illustrate it for me, please ?:( :s

I currently hang more than 8 kg - this is like 18 pounds.

I agree with SWM in that nothing is going to be completely comfortable when your ass is perched on the edge of a chair for 20 minutes at a time.

I personally use a hydraulic office chair (adjustable height) and put my feet on a short foot stool. Although the chair is very comfortable to SIT in, it is not comfortable hanging on it. However, I can adjust my level of comfort by sitting up straight and adjusting my posture. My butt does not hurt - it's my back that takes a beating if I slouch while hanging. Therefore, I believe that correct posture is more important than the chair when it comes to comfort.

SWM made a joke about cutting a hole in the middle of a chair. It just came to me that a chair could be designed with the seat in a "U" shape with the legs and buttocks supported and the middle (between the legs) open for a hanging device (like a toilet seat). This would probably be easy to make with some plywood, saw, 2 x 4, screws, padding, etc. I'll post a pic if I make one. Another way to go would be to purchase a cheap padded toilet seat and attach some 2 x 4 legs. Cross-bracing the legs for support would probably be a good idea.

Thanks for getting me thinking about this! LMAO

I think that you would better off with a sky hook, that you can hang anywhere in the house or for that fact in a field while you watch Monty Python giving his rendition of Adolf Hilter. Of course you could also while hanging from the Sky Hook tie an Anvil to the end of your dick, this action would certainly increase the length in a shorter time.

dr. r,

I cannot help much with the drawing, but it is really simple:

Measure the holes in your weights. The holes in the weights I used while hanging were about 1 1/16 inches. So I took a one inch diameter PVC pipe, and glued a one inch cap on the end of it. Then I drilled a hole in the opposite end of the pipe from the cap for the hanger hook to attach to.

The length of the one inch pipe depends on how many weight plates you are using, and how thick they are. For most guys, a six inch pipe should be enough. But the PVC is cheap, and you will probably have to buy several feet of it, so you can make several weight stacks.

Should have said; slide the weights down over the pipe, attach the hanger, and hook the pipe. That's it. The weights should hang fairly horizontal.

You can also make weight stacks with other materials.
