Go to "SETTINGS" at top right of page. From hear you can just every option. Now searching for threads can be a nightmare using our search window, we will soon switch this. But for now the best way to find a thread is Google. Simple type the name of the thread you are looking for and add in "Matters of Size" in quotes, as shown, and you will find it instantly.

Search system on these forums is bugged or lacking. Whenever I search for posts or threads by me by putting my username in advance search, I don't get all the threads and posts I've done, only a few.

I just spent an hour trying to locate a thread that I made and I could not find it, very frustrating! I am so ready for a new search engine. I have a filter on my computer so I can not find search results for MOS until all links are gone,.....what better inspiration to get this job done faster.

Just curious, were you able to accomplish this?

LIGHTNING was setting this up when He got sick. It will be installed soon. In the meantime it is best to search in google using our address like this:

- Is the Penis a Balloon of Rope www.mattersofsize.com/forum -

This will bring you precise results. The forum search engine is simply outdated and they will never update it since we are using an ancient platform.

Do you guys have any futuristic plan when it comes to changing the forum platform?

Yes, but we need to progress with great restraint and care. Any single change could effect our ranking and traffic. For instance going from VB to WordPress may completely change our placement in Google. We are going to need a tool tech guy to be with us win the redesign to be sure we do not hurt ourselves in the process. The forums will always remain VB as this platform will allow users with a 56K modem to get on the forums, other more modern sites would never be able to do this with all the flash and other modern additions to HTML. We will work within our platform and build on that, that is probably the safest way to an update of this size. The Members Site will also be completely reworked within it's platform unless we can keep stats the same in a new platform. Many things to considering one wrong move can send you to the back of the Google line.

Well, I guess we should just remain the same way as it is.

The thing is we can't, the trend online is becoming super streamlined and direct. We need to simplify things and makes them easier and faster to get to. We currently have over 40 forums but out of the 40 only 7 are used daily while the others happen less and less. So the main forums will become the 7 prominent forums all other forums will follow a subform directory for easy access without clogging the main page with all of those forums. A lot of work discussed and I am still brainstorming today on ways to do this. We want to become more graphic and emoji oriented to get more information to the user without having read so much to understand. a picture, a video a MEME is the best way to get a point across. Simplicity and deduction is where things are headed. Think Twitter and the limited text allows, think FaceBook and block backgrounds with limited text, this world is moving away from language and more into universal understanding with limited text. "A picture is worth a thousand words" this has never been so true. So how do we do this? I am not completely sure yet but I know it is where I can do a lot of good as naturally deduce everything.
