Alright this is the Football thread, known as soccer in the USA so don't get confused with US football.

Lets talk about our teams, our leagues and anything else about the wonderful game.

I support Manchester United and at the moment I'm pissed off with how things are going because we aint useing all the gears.

Yeah Rossi and Richardson look like future talent.
Also Pique the young Spanish defender is superb IMHO and we have someother good young players.

United IMHO need to sell Silvestre and purchase someone World Class in his position because he isnt with it anymore, it isnt just form but I think he's gone down and he's not world class, good but not world class.

Now if we could buy Nesta the Italian defender from AC Milan I would be over the moon as he's world class and one of the best defneders in the world.

Can't wait for Henize to get back into the team, apart from Silvestre United's defense is alright.

Alex Fergusen also needs to retire, a great great manager and I have LOTS of respect for him but its time to leave, new man is needed. Someone like Mark Hughes, Steve McClaren needed.

Best team of the year goes to Barcelona,just because they've got Ronaldinho. I always supported and believed that Ronaldinho would be the best player in the world when he played in PSG. I've supported the man since the beggining,shit.

I don't think ManU will be that good of a team during the years to come. But back when they played in the season where they won against Bayer Munchen,I enjoyed watching their games. The likes of Beckham(on the side),Cole,Yorke,Giggs,the captain can't(remember his name) played extremely well. And that final was just bananas! If you've seen that ManU vs Bayer Munchen Champions league final you know what I'm talking bout.

Finally a thread about football, i'm a Manchester United fan too have been all my life even before the premiership started and i know all about that champions league final in 1999 cuz i was there in the nou camp, i was only 13 but it was the best fucking night of my life! I'm goin to the match today aswell aginst Liverpool, if you watch it on T.V you'll hear me chanting from the Stretford End.

HOLY FUCK what a night that was ..... OMFG I couldnt belive it that night.
Jancker [German forward] of Bayern Munich hit the post near the end of the match with a header and that could have buried us. Man what a match that was, one of the best Champions legue matches ever,, but I still say Liverpool VS AC Milan was the best..... three nil down and they came back to win on penalties, hearts of gold ... this is saying alot [for the ones who dont know English football] because Manchester and Liverpool are fierce rivals.

Onto the premiership title as it stands, well Chelsea are 14 points clear of us...they will win it now, cant be beaten unless they really fuck up.

Sweet win tonight against liverpool....Ferdinand o what a goal, I nearly throttled the cunt next to me in the bar.

I love it when we beat Liverpool but Ferdinand scoring the winning goal in the 90th minute was the best way to do it! Gary Neville celebrating infront of the Liverpool fans was classic, shame hes getting fined by the FA for it tho. Also beating Blackburn 2-1 to get to the Carling cup final was a big win for us.

Ivory Coast VS Egypt

Should be a GREAT match, Ivory coast have a superb team and Didier Drogba [Chelsea striker] is hot as shit ATM with them and they have a deadly midfield and lethal attack. They have a iffy defense IMHO which is something I have found often in African teams, but they have many options in midfield.

Egypt have home advantage plus they are in sizzling form with a good team.
Mido isnt playing though, he's a star player. Egypt have a good organised working team which never seems to tire but they lack the quality at times IMHO and their Goalkeeper isnt safe, if crosses are sent in by the Coast and he is attacked in the air than he will fumble or punch and the coast should have a chance. Egypt though have that magic HIME advantage, it can change everything.

My verdict.

A close hard fought game, won by the Ivory Coast. Something like 2 . 1 to the Coast or 3 . 2 to the coast. Egypts goalkeeper will IMHO make a mistake and get burnt. Didier Drogba is LETHAL at the moment and Egypt's #1 cant display nerves infront of him today, would be like waving a fuckin red cloth infront of a bull... = suicide.

Everyone who can, WATCH THIS MATCH....anyteam who can beat Nigeria [Ivory Coast] deserves RESPenis EnlargementCT.

I think Drogba's overrated. They see the man on fire on occasions and think he's hot. If you want to know real skills check Ronaldinho and Zidane(during the 98 final and after that shit).

I expect this to be a good match.

Yeah Kassit, but I was refering to a comp that is African and Zidane and Ronaldinho aint from Africa. Both are world class players but yet again both do not play the same position as Drogba so it be very unfair to compare them with him. Drogba is a superb striker, isnt as consistent as some of the world class strikers but hes very good at what he does and dont forget he plays for Chelsea and I'm a Manchester United fan [arch rivals].

Also Egypt beat the Ivory Coast on Penalties after extra time with the game remaining 0 . 0

Good match, but the Ivory coast just couldnt get the crosses in as Egypt were playing top notch on defence.

Told you Drogba was overrated,lol. Man couldn't score against the Egyptians even though he got the best opportunities,missed his penalty,started bitching on the field etc.

The best player from Côte d'Ivoire was that guy with the colored hair,he gave Drogba excellent passes.

Côte d'ivoire's defense was good in my opinion and the goalkeeper was too.

Well they had lost to Egypt already once in the group plays,3 to 1. They're game was really boring,reminded me of Italy's game which equals boredom.

Egypt's best player was Barakat,the man knew how to tackle well and overall he was an good player.

Egypt's defense was quite helpless at times but overall they played good,luckily Drogba missed all his opportunities.

Egypt's goalie was excellent in the actual game and in the penalty shots. I don't know why you said Red,that he wasn't that good,but to me he seemed good.

Overall the Pharaos dominated the game but they're attacks not so good.

Pretty OK,the game had alot of potential and it was wasted. The African football has extreme potential,yet quite frankly it's shit compared to South Américan and European football. The africans are not hungry,they don't desire to win,all they care about is money. And don't think that I'm racist or something,I'm half-African myself(even thoúgh that really doesn't matter),I'm just saying how it is. Hopefully more and more teams'll pull of shit like what Senegal didn't in the last World Cup.

PS:That referee sucked. Ruined the game at some points.lol
