Hey folks

Its getting a bit hard for me to use the Bathmate in the shower everyday due to water restrictions and also family running around (have to sneak it in every day lol)

Was just wondering if there are any benefits of using the Bathmate dry as opposed to use it filled with water?
I know there would be no issues of water retention like when its used with water....

Does using it dry work as well as using it with water??

Thanks for any ideas...

It will probably work better with water. The reason is air can be compressed and fluid can not so you would probably get better results with water since it was originally built to be used that way. Hope that makes sense.

You could pump with water out of the shower and only use a gallon of water or less. If you ever got good it would prolly take as little as a few cups.

Oh and the suction is alot more with water. To me it is almost pointless to just pump air. It provides very little if any results for me

Pointless using it without water, its designed for water. I suggest buying a pump that doesn't need water if your more inclined to work with out dry. I have tried to use the Bathmate dry and it was pointless, no suction at all. When filled with water its terrific.

Just checked.... -0.17 bar with air. -0.40 with water. So almost 2.5 times (2.35 actually) more suction with water.

Thanks for all the replies, i guess that sums it up - water is definitely better than air.

Ill just have to find a way to work around with taking my time in the shower while everyone else is concerned about why i take sooo long LOL!!

Thanks guys

I just fill up a large cup with warm water and use it on my bed watching . I think I've only used it in the shower a handful of times

You can also put a bucket of water in your room and use the Bathmate that way.

Well i can do this, do you pump the water out back into the cup? Also how do you stop some of the water from leaking out onto your bed? :)

You need to become more resourceful with your mind. If you can't have a bucket, find something that resembles a bucket. Use a gallon container of water and keep it by your bed. Set alarm an hour earlier than the family and do it then. Wait for everyone to sleep, do it then.

I don't leak much water because I know exactly how much to add but I use a towel for the little I pump out.
