I bought a new Bathmate X-40 model over a week ago from a local sexshop here in Helsinki, Finland. While using it I noticed that air bubbles were leaking out from the vent which reduced the suction. I tried different techniques displayed in a Bathmate cleaning video to put things in place in order to prevent those air bubbles but unfortunately it didn't help. I also used some advice given in the official Bathmate website but they didn't help as well. So I went to the local store and explained the situation and they gave me another Bathmate after having some argumentation because the Bathmate had no external faults that could prove it didn't work properly. The shop also pointed out that if this problem would occur again I should sent it to the manufacturers.

Now it has been approximately a week since I got the new model and the same problem has occured. Furthermore the pad has also come off. I opened the vent again a day ago I noticed there were cracks and scratches inside the vent that probably had caused some air leaking. I could also notice that water was stuck inside the spring. The problem is that I contacted the finnish Bathmate importers and they said that I should take my Bathmate to the local sexshop and have them give another one. But the sexshop told me that I should send it to the manufacturers because they can't give another one again. So I sent an email to support@Bathmate.eu to see how they will respond.

I just think that Bathmate should really focus how to create better vents and make sure that the pads don't come off so easily because these problems have occured before. I mean Bathmate is probably device of the decade when it comes to getting better results but these problems should be eliminated some how.

I have vent problems, i also am leaking air and do not know weather it is due to not pumping enough or is there something wrong with the seal...

It must have something to do with the seal or the vent because when I pump and get a really good suction, that's when air bubbles starts to slowly appear and weakens the suction so that pressure is totally weak. I mean the air just keeps coming even though the suction is no longer powerful. Eventually you have to start all over again. And I have tried all the maneuvers you can do from cleaning it to changing the position how you keep it etc. The whole idea with a water pump is that no air should come in unless you press the pressure button to ease the suction. There just has to be vacuum that the water and the penis fills.

ok get some plastic thingies in it like a little rubber ball try that for pressure!

If your using it in a bath tub, try keeping the whole Bathmate completely under the water. There is no air underwater, therefore no way for air to get into it. :)

I agree with the two suggestions, try adding a soft, foam ball into the X-40 before pumping, this will take up much of the negative space. Also, as Bam suggested, try using suBathmateerged in the bath, this will definitely increase suction. Lastly, I removed my comfort pad and now use the penis sleeves which I feel is best for comfort and suction.

Thanks for the advice! So if I got it right, I should just put a rubber ball inside the tube alongside with the penis? Anyways, the issue is that the vent has cracks and is basically loose so it could break any time while using it. I could just take the piece with my fingers and rip it off. Maybe some glue would help but the point is that the Bathmate should not have these problems in the first place anyhow. But I will buy a rubber ball and see how it helps..

Be sure it is one of the stress balls, the lightweight balls like the one above.

I had the same problem with my X-40.
The valve had cracks in the plastic and I was always loosing the vacuum.
After about 20 days the whole valve craxked intoi pieces:(
Since you have a X-40 it cant just be a bad batch of pumps. Mine was made december 5 2010 when was your Bathmate made?
No reply in a week from customer support,,pissed beyond words.

Mine was made november 5th 2010 and I haven't also heard anything from the customer support. It's probably being bombared with emails so it might take awhile.
