Why does jelqing have such an impact on the veins?

I have heard so much about "vasular changes" occuring from jelqing. I do a moderate amount of it and it always seemed to cause more sensitivity than I cared for on a vein running down the left side of my shaft. I have never been able to jelq at a really high erection level, like some guys do.

What exactly do you think happens with the veins? I mean, it's not as if you're growing new ones. What cause the sensitivity and brings them out?

I think when all that blood goes in there they get bigger so when u get hard they are not bigger and show more.... just what I always thought about it

That makes sense for the pressure and sensitivity I feel when jelqing (don't know how some of you guys do that at 100% erect), but I'm not sure it explains why new veins and portions seem to appear at the surface.

It must be something to do with the pressure we create when jelqing, literally forcing blood down the veins in more quantity than they handle normally.

Wet jelqing has a huge impact of me where veins are concerned. I wet jelqed (pretty much all wet girth exercises) for my first 2 years and I was covered with veins. I started doing exclusive dry exercise about 1.25 years ago and my penis is almost vein free. Yesterday I did wet jelqs for the first time in in over a year and I got extremely veiny looking.

The vein look gets better cos when you jelq the veins have MORE blood encouraged into them, with time the veins will expand to take on this extra blood and they begin to get bigger or MORE prominent.
This is also why we seem to see MORE veins than we did, cos they are takeing on ALOT more blood than before, hence they become visible.

DLD, why do you think the wet jelqs brought-out the veins? I wonder if the dry jelqs have too much drag and the blood sorta does its own thing before it can be forced through.

Since I started jelqing a few weeks ago, I got a big ass vein poppin up on the left/base of my shaft. But, I kinda dig it so iI'm cool with it. But your right Penguins fan (BTW, go Pens, I think they gettin Mark Recchi next year), jelqing at almost fully erect with them veins poppin out is weird and uncomfortable...makes me feel like I'm gonna squish one of em.
