He gives slight, barely noticeable suggestions that lead to small noticed steps to the bigger sins. Again, pride, nothing wrong with it, it is a positive emotion that helps us accomplish things in life and adds to our self confidence but too much pride we start to become egotistical which leads to sin. I will do one more, anger. There is nothing wrong with anger, Jesus was angry when He flipped tables over in the temple. Anger becomes sinful when we hold on to it and refuse to forgive or we seek revenge. Jesus gave us very clear and concise understandings of what is right and what is wrong. We can not add or take away from this nor can we change them through opinion or justification. And understand, these are set in place to give you a good life, not a punishment.

I'm in no way trying to criticize what you're trying to do and it seems like you know that. I feel that if we weren't meant to masturbate that it wouldn't be so easy to do. It's not as if it's a temptation to be avoided, it's simply a part of life. An orgasm, either during sex or masturbation, has positive physical and mental benefits. You know all this already though.

I personally feel that if you reach a point where you can't masturbate or even become aroused while alone without the aid of adult entertainment then there's a problem. You personally have an issue with adult entertainment and the industry and are more than entitled to feel the way you do. Plus it sounds like you do have a bit of a problem.

I should try to cut back on adult entertainment when I masturbate as well. I don't masturbate too often but I enjoy pornn pretty much every time. Okay, I was a little confused about the exact reason then. I thought it was partially due to not being able to get aroused without adult entertainment.

90 days or three months is a very strong goal, but as you wrote, it can take that amount of time for the body and mind to "reset."
And I like to concur with that fact; many changes just don't come over night. "Rome wasn't built in a day." A bit of a boring quote, but as I don't know the Bible very well and don't want to do any cherry picking, at least in a general sense, I quote something easier.

Yeah I did mess up but I am kind of lost to why. I did not have any lustful feelings during the day at all, the day was actually very nice. I went to dinner with my family for Easter. I did a lot of praying. I spent time with my Grandbabbies and Son which was awesome. There is nothing to count for this but perhaps a natural cycle that comes after 7-14 days. I really wish I would have nocturnal ejaculation but this does not happen. It was almost as I was very hungry, I went to get something to eat and I went to sleep. It was almost mechanical. None the less I still fell so it is back to day 1. I think I was also becoming overwhelmed with the 90 days. I think I will change the thread to 30 days, making it more attainable and realistic.

The Christian perspective; I realize that God loves me very much and that He knows I am doing my best to curb this habit I have had my whole life. I do not doubt the forgiveness I have been given and I know that Christ has already has forgotten the sin. I am now forgiving myself and in doing so I would like to use this for good and not guilt. A verse that comes to mind is

It really isn't a life for everyone. If you are meant to be with someone she will come along in a way that you can't ignore it. As in God won't put her there, he'll trip you with a hand on the back of your neck to slam your face into her to get the point across (figuratively speaking, of course).
