Where as long as you can keep the expansion. If expansion starts to fade get a quick 5 minute set of SlowSquashJelqs in and attach the ring again. You can do this as many times as you like. Temp. expansion kept for long periods of time will lead to faster permanent change.

I hour is perfectly fine. You can as well take it off and do some SSJ every 30 mins.
