I hope I am not repeating a question that has been asked before even though its very likely. I have used the search bar and found nothing so far, so decided to ask this questions:

1, Is this normal & why does this happen ?

the only way to retain those results is to follow your routine consistently and months down the road your penis will continue to grow and change. if you keep at it for years even better.

Part of that is the pressure pulling it into the edges but the effects of the pressure could potentially be holding it at a greater size than it can sustain. If that is the case, I'm not sure how you'd go about replicating that without applying similar external pressure.

I think it is a bit of both. Expansion as well as visual distortion. If you are in the pump and in the bath you can see a difference if you have the pump above the water line in the bath vs submerging the pump and your cock under the water in the bath. With the pump having water outside it and inside it the visual distortion seems to lessen or maybe that's just me 😄
