im just interested to see who here is into the same kinda music as me. i've been a muso for about 10 years (im 19 now), and i've learnt a fair few instruments along the way, and i have a huge taste in music.

i have a moto when it comes to music, and that is the music should be judged by only one thing which is the sincerity of the person who made it. sincerity is not a measurable or debatable thing so you have to make a judgement call on that one.

anyways, shit im into...

old fashioned dixie jazz
blues

tool
deftones
the mars volta
a perfect circle
korn
dream theatre
led zepplin
black sabbath
jimi hendrix
fear factory
muse
system of a down
shit loads of punk bands but, like punk, there's to fuckin many of 'em to list.
sunk loto
at the drive in
acdc
ben harper

i can't think of any more right now, this is nowhere near the the likes of the true list, but i think this bunch represents me best.

I mainly listen to Deftones, Taproot sometimes, perfect circle, korn, seether, old drowning pool, godsmack, system of a down, breaking benjamin, mudvayne, some slipknot every once in a while, chevelle, and some rap when im feeling it. I dont listen to much punk anymore except for maybe the used every once in a while. I've seen the ataris live and they were kick ass. I've also seen the deftones live and it was awesome. I wish i could have been in the pit but only seats were avaliable.

sucks, i saw em live and was right in the middle of the pit fighting for my life, one of the deadliest pits i've ever been in, one of the funnest times i've ever had too. LMAO

I listen to some of the stuff you listen to, namely Dream Theater, Jimi Hendrix, AC/DC, and blues stuff like SRV and many others. :) I find SOAD very interesting.. in one song they whack away at the guitar in weird tuning, and yet they perform beautiful ballads as "Roulette". =)

I like Slipknot (My favorite band), Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade, Disturbed, Korn, Drop Comix, Headsnap, Static-X, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, Mudvayne, Metallica, Nonpoint, Nickelback, P.O.D., Rob Zombie, White Zombie, Shades Apart, Skindred, Shinedown, Collective Soul, Soil, Soulfly, Kittie, 3 Doors Down, System of a Down, Taproot, Maroon 5, Godsmack, Evanescence, Drowning Pool, Avril Lavigne, Switchfoot, Staind, The Killers, Seether, Puddle of Mudd, Franz Ferdinand, Stone Sour, Linkin Park, v-Mob, Sevendust, and even classical composers like Don Davis, Carl Orff, John Williams, Gustaf Grefburg, Charlie Clouser, Howard Shore, Beethoven, Bach, Arcangello Corelli, Frederic Chopin, and Glass.

I love Slipknot's new CD. Volume 3: The Subliminal Verses. It's sublime.

Andithilion: My friend, you have superb taste. Chopin... JSB... Beethoven, sadly no mention of Liszt.

I too enjoy pits with all of its macho fucking violence. What I do is I defecate right in the middle of the muscle throwing, then stand back cackling as these morons get their feet in it, seizing this as an opportunity to swing my dick in the wind as the birds circumventing this 'comical display of idiocy' make their "furtive" glances.
