I'm sure most people are like me and have seen more than one poll that suggest what the average penis size is. My question is who do you think is really right about this. What is everyones own opinion about what you think is the real average. I read the CNN article on here and they say 5 inches. I was reading on a website the other day that said average was 6.25 inches. My opinion is average is just under 6 inches boned pressed. Of course I don't have any evidence to back that up but that is what I want to believe anyway. What are your opinions on this.

I would say 6 sounds about right. 5 DEFINITLY seems small to me.

Of all the surveys I've read, the self-measured average is around 6 or slightly above, and the supervised measured ones are around 5.5, and some were even slightly below that. So you can probably safely say the 'real' average is somewhere between 5.5 to 6.

I dont agree with the 6 inch bp average. I'm 5.75 nbp, and 6.5-6.6 bp. I'd say i'm right at average in nbp. Yah, maybe i have a larger than average fat pad, but i'm only 6 feet, 190. I'd definitely put the average 6.25-6.4 bp

I'd guess that average is a tick of 6" bone pressed. All the studies seem to be pointing that way and even if you take off a half inch on the self-examined surveys it still puts it very close to 6 inches. Girth is what seems to make or break the looks of the size though.

I don't know man. I mean how do they come up with the average? Do they ask men to measure first then take all the results and actually average them? Or do they look at what size came up the most? I mean a guy with a 7 inch dick and a guy with a 5 incher will average to be 6. But there wasn't a guy with a six incher among the two. Very very small sample size, but still if the total out of two hundred guys is like 1300 the average will be 6.5 inches, but how many of the guys are actually at this number in the group? There will be more than likely more guys below that mark and plenty above it. So, what does that say? That there are less guys with average size cocks out there? Or should we just look at the average as a bencHydromaxark? Is there an average size cock then? Maybe I don't get it.

Before I started Penis Enlargementing it always seemed to be common knowledge that 6inches was the average. Since starting Ive seen many surveys all around 5-6.5 so who really knows.
Anyway girth never seems to be scrutinised as much, and thats the real inportant measurement. Im 5" which I think is pretty average.

What I don't understand is: how can 5.5 or so be average when you RARELY if EVER see penises below 5"? Save Adolf's two inch dick, I don't think I've ever seen a guy here at the forums with a <5" penis. An average is generally the middle of the data set, meaning roughly half should be below and half above - or thereabouts. I don't mean to make this a statistical battle, but it seems like common sense to me considering below 5ers are rare.

What you see around here is probably not a good representative sample, as this place is aimed at gowing them bigger, so we end up with a skewed viewpoint. Not only do we tend to think about people's current size, rather than starting size, but even here (even though this place is so supportive and encouraging) some may report a slightly larger starting size than they really are when they first join, b/c so many people here are large.
As far as the math - I suspect there are a lot more 5 inchers than 7 inchers, so the avg. gets weighted in that direction.

Also, I know what you are saying about this place representing larger than average size - it definitely does. Even so, I would love to hear reports of actual <5" that peruse this site, I just don't think it often happens. While 5-5.5s may be an accurate mode, I certainly doubt it's an accurate median.

Alloy I completely agree with you. 5.25, is, in IMO, small. If you look at everyone's starting BPenis EnlargementL at the forums under the starting BPenis EnlargementL poll, the average ended up being somewhere between 6.2-6.4. I'd normally agree with dld since he knows a hell of a lot, but an average of 5.25 means 50% are below it. There's not too many guys here below that level starting off. If you look at all the new guys that end up posting, they're all at least 5. Hell, when i first started I was right at 5.1 nbp. I dont think the reason why guys dont post their size here is b/c they are afraid. I'm not insecure on an internet forum on this stuff and i doubt anyone else is either.
