I'm not sure if I'm exactly balding because a few months ago I noticed my hair getting thinner and less pixels at the top, but I'm not getting a crow's peak or a receding hairline. When I shave it close to bald the hair coming out of follicles look normal, it's just that when it starts growing out the hair on top seems a bit thinner, to me it's noticeable but not to others, but I know my hair was much fuller before this occurrence.

The thing is I got a sunburn last summer on top of my head and the scalp region, then I used some pharmacy aloe vera cream and since then myhair just seems to grow slower, but especially less fuller and more thinner at the top and scalp region

Does this sound like balding or temporary thinning from the sunburn/aloe vera application?

Also a good thread similar to this: http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/...our-experiences/page3&highlight=hair+thinning
But I'm not looking for any synthetic solutions.

Can you recommend a certain diet or incorporating certain foods to restore this damage if it is indeed from sunburn and aloe vera gel? Or what oils and creams based on your experience have restored normal hair growth and fullness?

I'll be testing a new diet for a few weeks to see if hair is restored:

Liver
Fruits/Veggies
Peanuts

Finasteride will regrow your hair. I doubt any diet will do anything for it

Would it work to mix in powdered Finasteride or something similar into an oil or cream, because I've always been skeptical about ingesting synthetics

You should probably research finasteride or any 5ar inhibitors. I think GLL did a good review on a set.

I would get a thyroid panel/T panel and along w/ DHT. DHT is usually the more expensive one.

The only topical 5ar inhibitors I know of are azelaic acid/retin-a/spiro cream.

I don't know if it would work as a topical. I doubt it as I've never heard of it being made and I'm sure the drug companies would make it if there was a market for it. My bald brother in law regrew a lot of hair on it. He also quit taking it because of common sexual side effects. When you stop taking it then all the hair you gained falls out

Google is you friend why don't you go see a professional? Once your hair is gone it's not coming back

Plugs are always an option or a nice hair piece:)

No doctor uses plugs anymore!!

Whoops, I guess I am remembering back when they did. I have no hair issues so I do not need to worry but if I did I would do whatever I needed to have it, even wear a wig.
