When I was actively training I wasn't the greatest at keeping up with hydrocortisone. My own fault :O

My wife brought home some stuff they use in the nursing home cause my hands were getting so dried out the cracks were about to start bleeding. Usually I'll go for plain Eucerin cream this time of year but I wanted more vitamins and what not.

So this new stuff is called PeriGuard Ointment by DermaRite and has Vitamins A, D, E, Aloe Vera, and Zinc. On my trashed hands it isn't quite as good as plain odd Eucerin cream but it should work well on my penis.

I'm more concerned with the area where I was circumcised up to the head. From the scar to the base I'm very soft. Ever since I learned decades ago that uncut guys have a smooth, shiny head I've wanted to be uncut. Getting the time, effort, and equipment to restore is another story. My main goal here is to moisturuze that area 1-2x a day in hopes that the head starts to heal.

My wife thinks I'm nuts. She also doesn't think it'll do anything for her. Me being more sensitive will allow me to feel more which would by default give her more enjoyment when I'm squealing.

We shall see what happens. I've only been putting it on 2-3 days so I'll try to take a picture of the head both flaccid and erect and then do progress pics.

UPDATE - I switched to Eucerin cream after a few weeks. It does an AMAZING job on extremely dry, cracked, and bleeding knuckles within a few days so seemed like a good idea. There's discussion throughout this thread but here's where updates start along with pics in subsequent posts - http://www.mattersofsize.com/forum/...new-ointmemt-cream-post753508.html#post753508

I took 2 starting pics, the first is flaccid and the crackling/wrinkling is very apparent. In the erect photo it's not as bad but still there. The goal is to make it go away.

Wearing boxers all the time probably doesn't help cause of the rubbing but I hate briefs. I should get a "cock sock" to protect my penis with. I think I have a spare Oakley sunglasses bag somewhere lol. I'd prefer something I can open at both ends so trips to the bathroom are faster.

Going to really try to commit myself to a progress log and putting cream on twice a day. Maybe post pics every week or every other week, just depends on the results.

Does not look bad at all to me. I think as your pelvic floor muscles get stronger and more able to hold more blood the wrinkles with disappear in erect state but flaccid not so much. But, again, it does not look bad to me at all.

On a few occasions I've seen the head get a bit shiny because it's absolutely stuffed full of blood and I'm 110% erect. The sensitivity isn't what I would like though. Us uncut guys suffer from the glans drying and then the sensitivity gets rubbed away. I was far more sensitive when I wore briefs but I hated how constricting they felt.

So starting off with a good vitamin and mineral rich cream for a while to see if I can get results. I may or may not have to graduate to a "cock sock" to protect against rubbing. We shall see.

Hydrocortisone is the best possible cream for your penis skin health, nothing even comes close. It will deal with every skin issue you have.

Shouldn't the one I'm trying that's loaded with vitamins and minerals work just as good or better? Vitamins A, D, and E and also has Aloe and Zinc. Not sure if hydrocortisone has all that in it.

I've got no problem using both and just alternating them.

And of course I forgot to use it today. Woke up late and exhausted :O

I love fat-fat-soluble vitamins and zinc :)

Hydrocortisone for me has been a miracle. Nothing I have tried compared to it as far as skin issues go. It is cheap enough to try out as under $6 a tube.

I've been using Man-1 Man Oil for the past few months...don't really see any appreciable difference from the coconut cream/butter, but I don't have any skin issues either

I favor Shea Butter for the most occasions! I had issues with coconut oil / butter etc., they clogged up my pores. For now I'll stick to internal usage of coconut oil from time to time, for external usage I have other choices.

Hydrocortison surely can be excellent for many, I just like more "natural" choices, most of the time anyhow. I have used different antibacterial ointments when I really had to, but overall shea butter, propolis, beeswax etc., natural things have been doing me a big favor as of late!

Vitamins I take internally as well. I do some cycling between certain vitamins and supplements, such as maca. I also like bee pollen and honey. And black seeds, Nigella Sativa! Really tasty. I do sprinkle some celery seed to some of my foods as well, works great in soups for example.

Anyway, big thumbs up for Shea Butter! Great for the whole body!

I have some and it has Aloe in it. I'm going to do my best to alternate these so there's 1 application of hydrocortisone and 1 of my vitamin rich cream every day. I'm bound to miss 1 of the 2 from time to time but I'll at least get 1/day. I want my super sensitivity back!

Cool, the aloe is not necessary but not bad either. Please do as you feel best, thank you for considering my advice.

I know the hydrocortisone is really good for your skin which is exactly why I will continue to use it. The other cream is for the extra vitamins and minerals along with its healing properties. My wife said they use the stuff she brought me for bed sores in the nursing home. It sort of reminds me of A&D ointment in how it feels.

Can't go wrong using them both!

just a quick update on the Man-1 Man oil I've been using for the last few weeks...it seems to remain on the skin far longer than the coconut cream. Not sure about the healing/growth claims, but I'll keep updating if there's any appreciable changes

Growth no but healing possibly :) Being an oil how hard is it to remove after? Is it like Vaseline?

I'm debating using Eucerin cream as well. That stuff is like crisco in both color and feel. It stays on for a long time. That might moisten me up really fast.

It's more like an expensive hair conditioner consistency and white in color

Any noticeable difference in glans moisture or sensitivity?

It does maintain moisture throughout the day (although I don't recall having issue w/that), and the sensitivity is the same...what I do like is the area that kinda gets 'folded' or 'wrinkled' (about an inch or two below the corona ridge) when wearing pants, no longer gets dry/chalky. The skin stays consistently 'lubed' until I shower...so I guess it's doing its job

So it is water soluble?
