As I've learned, and gained, a lot from this forum in penis enlargement, I thought I'd share what I am doing on this front, and report back in a few months on how it's working.

My short history is that I stopped Propecia 2 years ago, because of new side effects being published nearly every day, and over the course of those two years I went from getting compliments on my hair to its looking pretty damn thin up there. So, after some research, I'm trying nearly everything that seems to have anything behind it.

1. Topicals
I'm using S5 cream (day and night) in combination with Lipogaine Minoxidil 5% and the Pura D'Or Organic Hair Loss Shampoo. Thank you to Supra for his thread which led to my finding the S5 cream and Pura D'Or. The Lipogaine is hailed as a good replacement to the Perfect Image 15% Minoxidil that the FDA pulled from the market a few years back.

2. LLLT (low level laser therapy)
This is perhaps one of the more debated therapies in hair loss today. It is approved by the FDA as "safe" but not as "effective." Large studies have yet to be done and small studies are somewhat inconclusive in the arena of Androgenic Alopecia (male pattern baldness) BUT there are Dermatologists who swear that there is no doubt that it works and there are a lot of day spas making a killing off of the therapy at the moment. As I'm a poor medical student, I decided to opt for the "home-made" variety (actually paying someone else to home-make it for me because I have even less time than money). Basically, you want to use 650nm laser diodes shot at your head for 20 minutes, 3 times a week. Supposedly this stimulates hair growth...and no one knows how, though there are lots of theories.

If you are interested in SOME of the research, go here http://www.sunetics.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=74&Itemid=55

The unit I purchased uses the exact same diodes as the sunetics unit (or the others for that matter), but I use it at home and it looks like poop in comparison.
I got mine from: http://www.overmachogrande.com/

3. I plan to integrate some other topicals on the days I laser
Ethyl Alcohol (to clean my scalp and get a lot of the greasy skin out of the way of the lasers) and Niacin (to get the "flush" of blood to my scalp while lasering). For the moment, I am just scrubbing my scalp with the shampoo, towel drying and lasering.

I'm "all-in" with this process or the next 3 months at least, and we'll see if it gets me anywhere. Because doing nothing sure isn't getting me anywhere I want to go...

Here's some "before" pictures and a helmet pic.

It's been 3 months as of yesterday and I have to say, I may not have Clooney hair, but I am VERY pleased with the results and will continue what I'm doing. I've attached updated photos. Hair is almost impossible to photograph well, but I will say that I can see and feel SIGNIFICANT difference. Balding friends have started asking what I'm doing because they can see the difference too. If you're balding I would ABSOLUTELY try this routine. The two pictures I've uploaded are my hair from the front and my bald spot in the back. Notice that areas that were thin have thickened up and there is new hair growth on either side of my widows peak in the front. The bald spot in the back feels EXACTLY the same as the rest of my hair now. It is still thin, but MUCH better than it was.

Have you read any of SUPRA work in Hair Loss? He has some very creative ways to correct, help, increase and reverse hair loss. Worth some deep research.
