Hey guys, for you that don't know, I am a college athlete and lift weights atleast 4 times a week. I have tried alot of supplements and recently have been looking for something to help me bulk up a little more and help me gain more strength. Since I am a college athlete and we get tested randomly year round I have to be cautious with what supplements to use and what not to use. My uncle used to be a competative bodybuilder so I usually get advice from him with what supplements are best and safe!!! He told me to check out this supplement called ZMA (zinc monomethionine asperate with magnesium and B-6 combination) it is suppose to help raise testosterone levels naturally in the body. You can do a search with yahoo or whatever your search engine is and search for "ZMA supplements, ZMA reviews", or anything having to do with ZMA. I would give you a link to a site but there is so many that I found that it is just best to look for your self. I guess the key to the supplement is the form in which the zinc is in (it is not just a multivitamin)!!!!!. The best thing is that it is 100% safe since the ingredients are natural. There has been tests done and it has been proven to help raise testosterone levels. Many NCAA teams, Pro athletes, NFL teams, and many more use it and have had nothing but great things to say about it. I bought ZMA last week from a nutrition discount store and it was $23.00 for 180 capsule (2 month supply). The brand I bought was "Optimum Nutrition" I chose them because I have bought other supplements from them and are considered a well known and respective brand. After a week of use I can honestly say that I feel great. My muscles are fuller and harder, I have faster recovery time, I sleep like a rock, My mood is much better, my energy is through the roof. I just think that ZMA is a great product for anyone looking to raise Test Levels naturally and safe. And I think that increasing test levels can have great benefits in Penis Enlargementing and help with gains, better overall Penis Enlargement workouts, and better overall health. So for anyone looking to increase their Testosterone, I highly recommend taking a look at ZMA!!! Later guys, hope this helps!!!!!

Sounds like good stuff... I might be inclined to try it if I can find a reasonably priced brand.

Lol, imagine you never heard of Penis Enlargement before, and someone tells you that u can raise your testosterome by putting a copper wire around your dick all day! LMAO, i think i'd laugh myself to death.

Don't believe the hype about ZMA... It's been around bodybuilding circles for some time and it's not what it's hyped up to be. ZMA is basically zinc, magnesium, and B6. You can buy all three separately and get the same results for half the cost. It is believed that the people that benefit from ZMA are people that are deficient in zinc. This is similar to tha B12 hype in BB circles 10 years ago. Yes it will work for some, but not for everyone.

That is the thing, it is not the same as just plain zinc, magnesium, and B-6, like in multivitamins. It is different because of the form they are in. you can read about it. The form that they are in is the key to the whole process. and anyone who works out or is active is difficient in the three, kind of like alot of women are difficient in iron. But the key thing about this supplement is that it is not the same as multivitamins. It is in a different form. There has been scientific studies done and they have scientific proof that this raises testosterone levels. For those who are interested look for yourself!!! The stuff is real!

The ingredients are actually Zinc Monomethionine Aspartate, Magnesium Aspartate, and B-6. And yes they are pretty much the same (i've done the research) just like testosterone cypionate, test propinate, test enanthate, and test decanoate are all the same. The ester doesn't change the base compound as the manufacturer would like you to believe. They supposedly need to be in a certain ratio to be effective:

Vitamin B6: 10.5mg
Magnesium: 450mg
Zinc: 30mg

I've tried it both ways and didn't get any noticable results and so have most of my bodybuilding buddies, except one. He doesn't count cuz he thinks everything works...

Good thing is that if i were to buy ZMA, i would prolly buy Optimum Nutrition's as they usually make quality products. That said, i'm not saying it won't work at all... if it worked for you, more power to you. I'm just trying to get both sides of the issue out.

ZMA is an ok product probably overated, but does work to a certain extent, dont expet a massive change or anything.

Those testostarones you listed have differnt release/effectiveness times.

En/Cyp takes about 3 weeks till effective at a 500mg dose/wk
and Prop is almos effective immediatly @ 100mg dose/eod or day

Here is some info I came across:

ZMA: This combination of zinc 30 milligrams, magnesium 450 milligrams, and vitamin B6 10.5 shows promise, according to a study published in 2000 in the Journal of Exercise Physiology. A group of football players at Western Washington University in Bellingham each took ZMA before bed each night during spring football-an intense, 8-week training period. Another group took a placebo. The placebo group saw their free T levels (the part your body actually uses) drop 10 percent-a reaction you'd expect during 2 months of brutal football practice. But the group taking ZMA actually increased their free testosterone by 33 percent and also increased significantly in some measures of strength and power.

Now before you grab your keys and head for the store, we have to note a pretty important conflict: One of the authors of the study is Victor Conte, who invented the supplement. That doesnt mean it wasnt a sound study or that the results necessarily were tainted. It just means that one of guys conducting the research had a significant stake in the outcome.
The main reason we like this supplement is that theres good logic behind it. Physically active guys probably dont get enough zinc and magnesium in their diets. Both minerals are linked to T production, and both have been shown to decrease levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

One caution: Higher zinc doses may lower the bodys copper content, which has led to the degeneration of heart muscle in animals. This hasnt been proven in humans, though, and the amounts of magnesium and b6 in ZMA arent associated with any negative side effects.

Thats it.

Personally, the only kind of supplement I use, other than Whey protein in a post work out shake, is a multi vitamin.

Peas, we out
:O

Yes that was my point... they are all just palin ole test regardless of the ester. All the ester does is change it's effective half-life, but they all effect the body the same.
