Hello guys,

At the moment I'm using the Bathmate X-40 and a hand pump from LA pump with a 2.25" cylinder. I've noticed a difference between the two in expansion after a good session. In the X-40 a get a better expension (during and afterwards) than using the airpump.

Has this something to do with de width of the cylinder (X-40 is much bigger) and do I need a bigger Cylinder for my airpump maybe? Or am I just pumping more "lenghtwise" with the airpump?

My girth at the moment is about 6" by the way, and I'm only packing the tube at the base in my airpump.

thanks a lot!

Nick

Most men feel they get better expansion in the Bathmate than the typical air pump. I think the water is key, it allows for a more comfortable session, less retention, less fatigue, etc. Airpumps cause too much retention and the blisters scare the crap out of me. Water pumping is far superior.

As a 10 month Bathmate user, I must say its a better expansion with it, I think it is related to the way the water mass conveys pressure onto the shaft, its a more even pressure load, the water as a mediating substance are far better than air, which feels as if all the pressure is being applied to the sking which screams at time to be torn apart, the water has a more soothing affect.
I use both, Air an Bathmate for pumping sessions, and the results are by far more comfortable and substantiual thaen the Generic air pump, which I use when im lazy and dont want to hassle with water and all the operation around it.

That's the reason I bought an airpump. When I don't have as much time to pump I use the airpump. But the tube of the X-40 is much wider than my airpump tube. Do you think this could be the reason of the difference in expansion or is it just due the positive effect of waterpumping for the expansion??

I have used a standard air pump with both air and water. I find that when I pump with water I get a bit more expansion, but my erection is slightly more "spongy" than when I air pump. However, I find water pumping to be a pain in the ass. I have ED and I can get a nicely expand dick in five minutes which I can maintain with constriction. With water involved, it takes an extras ten minutes of preparation and clean-up before I can get down to the job at hand.

I think some of the sponginess is due to the water opposed to the air. Almost like staying in the tub for too long:)

Water pumps seem to really be good at keeping fluid build up down

I must honestly say that I get less fluid build up with my airpump than with the Bathmate..
I can get the same expansion with the airpump, but to realize that, I have to pump for a longer time than I should have with the Bathmate..

Ps. I can pump up to 10hg with no discomfort at all, is this normal or dangerous? I slowly work up to 10hg and stay there for a minute or so, then slowly decrease pressure till 5 hg...

Pumping can vary in intensity from man to man so really listen to your body. You do not want too much retention and you want to stay clear of blisters, if slowly working up to 10hg happening without issue, keep at it.

Ok, I'll keep it safe, thanks for the advice!

Good Nick. Please keep us up to dat eon your progress and if you need any help.

I think each has its benefits. For girth expansion i use the Bathmate. When I'm pumping for length i use a much skinnier tube and air pump to higher pressures to create a longitudinal vacuum to pull out the interior ligs.

DO you pump flaccid in the air pump?

About half flaccid, half erect, same level as when i jelq. At that erection level i feel the most pull at the base, especially when i pull out and down on the tube. If i pump almost flaccid, i feel it more near the glans.
