I just read the Tim Ferriss books "The Four Hour Body" and "The Four Hour Chef". In them he talks about the Pareto Principle or 80/20 principle.
In case you haven't come across this before this is a principle that says 80% of your results in any endeavour come from 20% of your efforts. His position is that you can become world class in any skill in six months or less.
He defines world class as being in the top 5% of all practitioners. To get into the world of elite practitioners and acquire the remaining 20% of results takes 80% of your effort.
Ferriss also talks about the minimum effective dose, the smallest amount of stimulus that will produce a change, and not wasting effort with anything beyond that.
My question is, several of us here are not trying to get to the elite level (for arguments sake let's call elite 8.5 x 6.0 or bigger) many of us would be happy with a more modest (but better than average) result. Let's say 7x5-5.5 for example here.
For me, 7x5.5 would require a 1-1.3 length gain depending on ED and a 0.8-0.9 girth gain, again depending in EL. Nothing close to the 3+ inch gains some people want to gain.
So. What would be, in your opinion, the minimal effective dose? What would be the 20% that brings the 80%?

Eager to hear your thoughts.
