How comfortable is this device? How long can you wear it before you have to take it off because of discomfort and/or lack of circulation?
 
It usually depends on how much tension you apply, really. I found myself able to go for an hour. As for the plug sitch: vaseline is a great idea before putting on the device. But it still doesn't solve the problem completely. Perhaps silly putty or a small rubber stopper like that found on the aperture of inflatables. Also, do we really need to prep the glands with tape before applying the dome? It just seems like overkill.

I use vaseline and have no problems. I have been using everyday for 2 hours. The tape is to help prevent the forming of blisters. I have never had this problem so it is easier for me to go without the tape. It's also easier for me to attach if I go tapeless. Before you decide to try it tapeless, I would shorten your time until you know if you are prone to blisters.
