Yes, you went up in time way too quickly. You did not allow your soft tissue to become strong enough to handle the stress. Cut back to perhaps 4-5 sets per day, then increase by one set per week. In 4-5 weeks, you will be back up to nine sets per day, and your tissue should be conditioned.

If it were me, unless there was an actual injury, I would continue to hang, but at a reduced time (which you need to do anyway) and weight.
