Morning Wood (or lack of it)

This should be the right subforum to post in for this even though I'm not quite "older" yet.

I'm 40 and in the past few years I've noticed I don't get morning wood nearly as often as I used to. I know it's caused by a full bladder resting on the prostate while you're sleeping. Years ago I'd be fighting with my morning wood on the dance to the bathroom.

In the last 4-5 years it seems to happen far less. I don't know if I'm simply not noticing I have morning wood and it goes away faster when I stand up or if I'm just not getting if often.

It can't be PE related because the decline in morning wood happened before PE. Orgasms and ejaculation seem fine and even the volume of ejaculation seems normal as long as I'm hydrated. I try to stay hydrated one I finish a few cups of coffee in the morning.
.
Is it simply getting older that's reducing morning wood? Am I not noticing it as much because it goes away faster when I stand up?

Exactly! Once 50 things start to speed up! Enjoy your forties while you got them, 50 is a big number!

When I was a teenager my dad started telling me what to expect in my 30s. When I hit mid 30s I started to experience some of them (I'm in better shape than he add
was). He says "wanna know what's coming in your 50s?"

That's the only time I ever told my dad to shit the fuck up. We got a hoof laugh out of that lol

im the exact opposite, i never had morning wood in my thirtys due to obesity and recently i have been following a circadian protocol and i now get morning wood and horny as fuck

Just wait. You'll start getting the frequent mailers from the AARP to remind you that you're now officially an ol' fart. :) They never give up either!

I was getting those damn things 10 years ago

It really begins to grate on the nerves. What a colossal waste of paper! I can't tell you how many of those I've torn up and tossed away. Easily enough to fill up a 13 gallon garbage bag.

Pretty soon it'll just be AARP emails.

And all your Google searches will be AARP related somehow or have AARP results.

I am not getting those yet but I am sure it is right around the corner

For me the 50's were very hectic as more and more work related responsibilities were heaped on my back. When I was 65 I was able to retire. It took a few more years to
learn to completely let go and finally relax.
The 70's are a grand time for me and Mrs. Beertaxi. No deadlines, no overpaid, underinformed jackasses demanding instantaneous miracles.

After I retired and after a month or so of using a [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]Bathmate[/words] almost daily I noticed a side effect. I was getting morning wood again! My guess is reinvigorated arterial flow carrying
oxygen to previously oxygen starved tissue. A pumping routine of some sort is beneficial for both men and women who reach their 50's and wish to continue a healthy sex life.

What a love story! Thank you for you post it truly is precious! I am going to 51 next month and I am very happy where I am. I have my Son and my Grandsons that make life so incredible. I have greatly slowed down and I live in complete peace. I think I am whereto are at 20 years early :) My 40's were a hot mess but 3 years ago everything changed for me and today, although basically retired, I still do what I love The Brotherhood, my Family and my God!

Maybe getting back into a [words=https://officialhydromaxpump.com/?uid=6&oid=2&affid=98 ]BM[/words] routine will bring back the morning wood. We'll see!

If nothing else, a good pumping routine can bring oxygenated blood to tissue that needs oxygen for to remain healthy.
A visit to your physician can eliminate a more serious underlying condition.

51?? One "benefit" to living to that age is you are now in colonoscopy territory!

I keep getting phone calls from the doctors office for a colonoscopy and I just refuse to do it. Sometimes I feel like diseases are pushed on us, if that makes sense.

Or are you just afraid you might enjoy it? Lol

Mike does watch Fox News, perhaps he wouldn't mind their camera crew all up in there, lol

I don't want anyone up in there unless they're a pro at prostate manipulation and have my dick rammed down their throat.

Oh there's plenty of them but the horn is between their legs, not on their head.

Hell I was just talking to a gay friend who has a "hookup" that comes over usually once a week just to get a BJ. He doesn't reciprocate, just gets off and leaves. Apparently my friend is totally cool with it too.

I worked with a guy whose mom died of colon cancer. He got them religiously.

The prep is the worst part. They give some pretty good drugs for the procedure and you basically sleep through the whole thing.

You need to bite the bullet and make your appointment. Just get it over with. It's a psychological barrier you have to hurdle. Honestly, the procedure is a breeze. You'll be in and out of there in 30 minutes. Getting a cavity filled is 10 times worse. They give you propofol so you won't remember jack.

Lookn4girth;751933 said:
They say the prep is terrible, not able to get too far away from the toilet for a day and night.

What I like to do is take my tablet to the bathroom. Just pick out a few good movies and stream Netflix.

They gave me a box too. why is this so important? I am clueless?

as mentioned, the prep is much worse than the procedure...you're required to drink 2 gallons of Galvynite (sic) the night before which will have you sitting on the pot for the majority of the evening (bring a book or tablet). Only clear liquids can be ingested prior to your appointment and once you're there, they'll give you the option of a sedative (I didn't set-up a ride home, so I went-in 'commando'). They squeeze air into your abdomen to expand the area for the camera to see 360* and they'll lance/sear any papules (more sic) they find along the way...it's slightly uncomfortable, but my nurse said its from the 'pressure' and to freely release (read 'fart') whenever that pressure builds. In/Out 30 minutes...had a few laughs with the nurse and was on my way.

It's a must-do for us

I've been trying to pay attention more the past week or so to the morning wood. I'm one of those "slow to wake, leave me the F alone until I've had coffee, don't piss me off in the morning" people so my brain usually isn't active when I get up, just muscle memory guiding me.

It appears there is still morning wood, it just goes away very quickly. I wake up and immediately need to go pee. Always been this way and I try to stay hydrated so I usually wake to a very full bladder.

Long gone are the days of "will you PLEASE go down so I can piss?!!" arguments with my penis. I don't miss them, those mornings sucked. I guess my penis has learned to comply with some orders and knows to go limp so I can pee.

Now if it would only listen to the "stay 100% erect after orgasm and keep going" argument. Or the "stop thinking about the bills and stay 100% erect" argument.

IDK, I will think about it but it all sounds very intrusive.

Big Schwanz Acht;752102 said:
ya think?? it's the epitome of intrusive

Well I will think on it a bit more. I guess I will set up an appointment at least to discuss it.

it's just something us 50 year olds need to accept and get it over with...just think, if you're 100% clear you won't have to do again until you're 60 (and if they find anything, they can take care of it before it festers into a real problem)

You really need to consider having it done, especially if anyone in your family has ever had any polyps removed and/or colon cancer. There's about a 1 in 4 chance of finding polyps during the procedure... even higher if it runs in your family. Some but not all types of polyps will eventually turn malignant.

1 in 4? I may take those odds :) I will go, I promise, just gotta get the balls up.

just make it fun...I made sure my nurse got a full view of what I was working with and we essentially just chatted each-other up for the whole procedure

So after I made this thread, plus I've been pumping almost every night in the shower, my morning wood is coming back. This morning I had one of those semi-erections while peeing. I was also very hydrated which helps.

Maybe if I make a thread about the lack of BJs and another about anal I'll start getting both of them again...

Nice try clad, let me know how that works and I will have to give it a try, lol

I will. I will make the appointment for next week.

Absolutely, that might be helping with the morning wood, ;)

I'm usually dreaming about having to pee :o

I try to stay hydrated. Sometimes that means I wake up in the middle of the night or early just to pee. If I don't then I'm doing the pee-pee dance all the way across the house and downstairs to turn on the coffee maker, then pee-pee dance back up the stairs to the bathroom.

My pee-pee dance is pretty pathetic looking though cause I'm a white dude and we can't dance.
