Thats me closing the number 1 coc, there are 5 altogether, theres the trainer which is before the number 1.

prince Albert, how long have you had the set of coc's. I bought the whole set as well. I thought I would have been able to close the #2 by now, no luck. I got carried away with the grip work and injured something in my right wrist over a year ago. Still has not healed. I have strong hands for my size ( 5'11" and 180 lbs) and it pisses me off that I can't get the #2.

Have you seen anyone close yours?? I've almost been in fistfights with guys claiming they could do it. Close the #3, you would have to be some form of freakin' monster.

I just checked you pic link. Shit man, you've totally got Popeye forearms. Whats your wrist circ. and your forearm flexed and goosenecked??

Ever do any arm wrestling??

sasquatch, ive only got the number 1 coc and have had it for about 2 year,i can close it now for 10+ reps each hand of the trot, left hand is slightly weaker,i was going to buy the number 2 but they are really expensive in the U.K and i no longer do much direct grip work,as long as my grip keeps up with my deadlift poundage i'm happy.

Ive never seen anyone close mine,i do no of a few people who have done the number 2 and one guy who has come close to closing the number 4,he holds several grip records in the U.K

http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/grip-ebook.asp this is his ebook

Thanks for the popeye comment but ive got pretty skinny forearms.

Wrist just under 7 inches,goosenecked just under 13 inches,bent at elbow flexed 14 1/4 ,211lb at 5'8

If your interested i can give you a couple of tips ive picked up that might help you close your grippers.

Fire away man. I can grind the handles on the #1 twenty times left and right. Use to be able to squeeze a coin between the handles for 1 min without it slipping.

Thats impressive mate, out of curiosity how much did you pay for the set?

Using lifting chalk or resin helps stop any slipping.

If you look at the springs that come out of the handles one of them will be straight and one slightly curved, the straight one is called the dog leg and it goes against the palm of your hand not the finger side.

Try doing negatives, close the gripper as far as you can then push against your thigh to close it all the way then hold for as long as you can probably only a few seconds.

The guy who's closed the no3 recommends training them hard 3-4 times aweek for 20mins then not touching them again until your next session.

With the exchange rate and shipping and handling, the full set of 5 cost me just over $200.00 Canadian funds.

I also have the Ivanko Gripper. It has the springs so it is adjustable and only costs about $40.00.

My wrists are 7 3/8" and bent, flexed forearm is 13 1/2". People comment on my forearms being big. I wish I had your size, at your heigth and weight your built like a pitbull.

Hard to say whats given me the width, ive been using a trapbar for all back work for a few years now and its made a big differance, pretty much stay to the same routine just mix up the rep sceme from time to time.

Weighted chins
Trapbar bentover row
Trapbar shrug
Trapbar deadlift
