I have read items such as celery , sesame seeds, meat, even potatoes tend to drive up the sex drive, even NUTS and almonds

Bremelanotide (formerly PT-141) is the generic term for a new medication for use in treating sexual dysfunction in men (erectile dysfunction or impotence) as well as sexual dysfunction in women (sexual arousal disorder). It seems to be the first real aphrodisiac. Unlike Viagra and other related medications, it does not act upon the vascular system, but directly increases sexual desire. Bremelanotide is a spray introduced nasally.

Originally, the compound Melanotan II that bremelanotide was developed from was tested as a sunless tanning agent. In intial testing, Melanotan II did induce tanning but additionally caused sexual arousal and spontaneous erections as unexpected side effects in eight out of the ten original male volunteer test subjects. In clinical studies, bremelanotide has been shown to be effective in treating male sexual and erectile dysfunction as well as female sexual dysfunction. It is currently being tested by Palatin Technologies.

Bremelanotide is a cyclic hepta-peptide lactam analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) that activates the melanocortin receptors MC3-R and MC4-R in the central nervous system. It has the amino acid sequence Ac-Nle-cyclo[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-OH or cyclo-[Nle4, Asp5, D-Phe7, Lys10]alpha-MSH-(4-10). PT-141 is a metabolite of Melanotan II that lacks the C-terminal amide function.

In the United States it is currently in a Phase III clinical trial.

Yes, but at $2500 per gram... a cheaper alternative is to use Melanotan II. Melanotan II is a tanning aid with erections being one of its side effects.Bremelanotide is the result of isolating the erection properties from Melanotan.

Sik, in your opinion which holds more promise cabergoline or bremelanotide? They seem realitvely similar to me, .......but I could be missing something.

I was also reading on IBE's site about CAB induced pregnancies,........not sure what the deal is with that.

Also curious about what dosages would be for both products, and do they go by bodyweight etc,....(liquid for both CAB and PT 141),.........and taste,.........if mixing it with anything could counteract the effects. I used to take novladex with orange juice (trying to see if it could help slightly with mild natruallly occuring gyno.....but it didn't).....b/c of the nasty taste.

Cabergoline and Bremelanotide are completely different and serve different purposes. Cabergoline is a prolactin blocker... it helps to block the effects of increased prolactin after a man reaches orgasm. It does not cause an increase in libido nor does it help with erections at all.

Bremelanotide is a libido enhancer which is supposed to actually make you horny. No other ED product has ever been able to do this. It is supposed to give spontaneous erections similar to Melanotan II but without the tanning properties. Because it is actually increases libido, it will work on both men and women. It is actually considered as a treatment for people on anti-depressants (SSRI) that suffer from anorgasmia.

Thanks for the info sik,.....the info I got on cabergoline was from a site selling really expensive cabergoline, who's domain name just ran out, ......looks like not only the site but info on the site was a little bogus.

After looking through some info. on anabolic minds concerning Bremelanotide, it seems as if you only have two choices on how to take it, .........the nasal spray or injectable. Is this correct? It can not be taken as an oral?

the PT-141 didn't seem to do anything for me. I had the nasal spray type, I tried it a few times, lots of sprays and inhaling, even tried under my tounge, but didn't really notice anything. The bottle leaked and I have none left, or I'd keep trying. Oh well.

I've read mixed results with Bremelanotide... some get great results and others nothing. If you want to know how it's supposed to work, get some Melanotan II. It really works good... but it's an injectable only.

Yes i have... i got rock hard erections from it but it's primary use is as a tanning aid. It will make you tan. The reason i stopped using it was becasue i was getting real dark... i haven't used any since.

One last thing... in larger doses, it will make you feel sick for about half an hour to an hour. Then it clears up and you'll be fine.

From my experience, the libido effect was dose dependent... I first started doing injects of .5-1mg and got hard watching a documentary on TV. As i lowered the dose the effects weren't as pronounced. The same goes with the sickness...

My experience with ED meds like Viagra/Cialis/Levitra is that the headaches and stuffy noses are usually attributed to taking too high of a dose. Cutting the tabs usually help to greatly reduce the sides.

The problem with Aspire is that they come in liqui-caps so you can't cut them to get a lower dose. I've actually tried Aspire (and still have some left in the bottle) and got real bad headaches and stuffy nose. This tells me that the dose is waayyy too high. But because you can't lower it, i wouldn't recommend it to anyone... I also did the math and the cost per pill for Aspire come to over $2.50. That is just too hard to justify when you can get generic tabs or liquid Cialis/Viagra for 1/5 of that price per dose.
