Daft question maybe but I dont know how to take the comment 'cute'.
Recently at work one of my mates said that one of the female staff said 'yeah he's cute' now I know cute is a positive thing but for me you call fuckin seals cute, rabbits cute, meercats cute not a MAN :O rofl

He says that she is hinting that I'm fit ... fair enough ... in the US and other nations do woman use the word cute much and if so when and what for?

I'm just trying to understand thats all ... aint EVER BEEN CALLED cute in my life by a female. Been called sexy and a stud but not cute.

I been getting the same thing for years. Years ago I used to be ARGGGGG! I hate that everytime I was told. So I research the word and one meaning is small and adorable, attractive in a dainty way as you made reference to the animals already. Actually it was shorten from the word acute.

It's her way of saying she has a interest and finds you attractive (slang) ... even if she isn't using the word properly. It's all Good!

So go for it if you want. Personally, I don't date the women at work as a general rule.

Okay now thats cleared up and I know that I aint a baby seal rofl
This girl however is rather odd around me .... I know the game and have had many woman but NEVER in work so I think its another mindset altogether and the first and lastime I tried with a woman in work it ended in massive disaster but I have moved on from that.

This girl I dont work much with her, about once per week and sometimes twice to three times per week in my five shift per week schedule.

We dont really speak much ... I get the feeling she feels odd around me, she seems shy and not very talkative at all which makes it hard for me to even approach her and speak.

The other guys at work [4 other male workers] giver her loads of attention apart from one who is gay. My mate who she told I was cute has a partner but flirts with her allot, fun flirting and they mess aroind with eachother while the otherguy who is a 110% wanker who thinks hes gods gift and shit has already asked her out and got knocked back for being too immature ... he follows her around the building, she allows it but apparently he doesnt do it like he once did ... she does play with him aswell, you know all that play pushing about and shit like that.

Now me .... hahaha I'm the strong silent type and many have said I look and act like a man of 33 not a boy of 23 ... I dont give her much attention and if I do its in SHORT doses ... never told her she looks great as to me very attractive woman hear this all day long and get bored with it.

If I get alone with her on break [rare] I speak to her but its been like a month since that happened ... borrowed her a [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]dvd[/words] the otherweek ... apart from that we dont have much contact, mainly due to us being on opposite shifts .... and when we do work its kinda breaking the ice which takes time with her I have found .... I think she might either #1 feel intimidated by my more masculine approach than the other 'boys' #2 Fancies me and therefore feels shy around me #3 Thinks I'm arrogant and therefore has little to do with me

I dont really wonna date her ... that would unleash HELL with the punk who works their and I cant take his antics cos if he starts with me I will pound each tooth from his jaw one by one and get sacked ... we are both banned from working together cos I will kick his arse in if he starts and that stemmed from him makeing false allegations that I abused patients ... long story but thats why I HATE HIM.

This whole situation annoys me sometimes because this girl says the word cute yet goes around and makes little effort in getting to know me ... but saying that I can be very hard to get to know and have strong armour in which many woman cant penetrate unless worth knowing ... she does try to make small talk if we are working together ..... I think I will try and be more nicer to her and speak more and see how it goes.

Any advice on this? comments on her behaviour.

I always overanalyze things, thats why I'm at where I'm at in my career and continue to get promoted and climb the ladder ... I like to know the whys and hows of this world and it intrigues me ... woman are wonderful creatures and I can spend many hourse thinking and wondering why they do what they do .. hence my attention to detail in this thread ... I'm a perfectionist you could say, never happy with my performance unless I can do better and I expect that in others.

Here's a litle friendly advice I've gathered over many a long year, a full career, long gone marriage and, literally, hundreds of relationships; personal, professional and otherwise:

A long time ago in a life far away I completely gave up tryin' to figger out "why people do- what people do" . It's a thankless and frustrating endeavour, due to the fact that the vast majority of folks you'll ever meet have no fuckin' clue whatsoever why they themselves do what they do.
Most of humanity, sadly, lurches randomly from one sensory input to another with neither purpose nor awareness.

And if they have no inkling whatsoever of any logical purpose for their actions (or lives! ) you, however diligent and sincere my friend, will just beat yer own ass to DEATH tryin' to make sense of the spastic twitching and frothing of life's clueless little trolls.

So my advice: Go for whatever you want from life, deal with people openly and unafraid and if you should ever make an enemy or piss somebody off they'll never-EVER be able to accuse you of lyin' or cheatin'.

Meanwhile; you'll be havin' the time of yer life.

Cute is one of those words that has one meaning with several connotations.

Cute means that she likes the way you look however in my mind it has two connotations...

1) You look nice but i dont want to be any more than friends

2) I want to have sex with you.

Yeeeah what I'm gunna do is show the mamba more yeah you hear that shit right.
