Okay, some of you might have remember about my post on my frenulum breve and that I decided to consult the doctors. One of the doctors I went to, he was a regular physician he recommends circumcision and frenuloplasty at the same time and he didn't know what he was talking about. I was like why would you need a frenuloplasty if you're getting circumcise. It didn't make any sense. So then I decided to make an appointment with an urologist, thinking he should know what he is talking about but I guess not. I just came back from the office btw.
He looked at my penis and stuff. He said that you have the band, and it's kinda tight. He said it order to treat it you have to have a "formal circumcision". I was like no. I don't want to be circumcise. He then said may I asked why? I was like cause I don't want to lose any sensitivity or lose the protection that my glans have from my foreskin. The glans will start to keratinize and that I wouldn't want that to happen. He said I am not sure what you're talking about. In my head I was like "OMG". He then goes like circumcise men still have sensitivity and they haven't lose anything I am like ugh. I was like can you do a frenuloplasty or anything he goes like I wouldn't recommend cutting the band cause when the foreskin comes back over there's a chance of the foreskin healing and attaching itself to the glans and the you wouldn't be able to pull it back at all. I was like not cutting the band that's frenectomy. I was like is there a way to elongate the frenulum he goes like no, I would recommend a circumsion. I told him that I think a normal foreskin would be able to be pulled back pass the head and that there shouldn't be any restrictions. He said no you have a normal foreskin that band is always there. And that You would have to get it circumcise. I live in Chicago btw. But I don't think I would be able to find a urologist that actually knows what in the world he is talking about. Then he goes like where are you coming up with these terms? I am like the internet, I like to do research before I actually do something to myself. He then goes like there's a lot of stuff on the internet including penis enlargements and a whole bunch of other things that I wouldn't recommend to my patients. I was like alright. He then said if you can still clean the glans you should not do anything to it. Then I go like if later in the future or something I ripped the frenulum or something I will come back. He then said "okay". I am not sure if there's a any urologist on board that can actually help with this or at least give me an opinion. But I don't want to get circumcise. Why do urologist always recommend circumcision or persuade it upon you. Any comments appreciated, Thanks.
