Anyone have any advice on what to take for a energy boost? I seem to be dragging ass alot lately. I been getting sleep and I am not sick or depressed or anything. I like ephedra back when it was legal, but the side effects kind of sucked. I have tried the ephedra free stuff like hydroxycut and thermodynamics but they are not good either. I am trying Adenergy now, but its not very good either. Anyone know of a good energy booster? I am thinking about looking into NADH or oxydrene.

Best thing to do is just get out! Alone or with friends, what ever you prefer. Go to a pary, a club, a pub or just outside. There is nothing better. Except a cold shower now and then ;)

I do go out, but I just think I need a boost, its hard to get the energy and motivation to lift or run everyday. I never tried the cold shower thing. I heard it kicks ass to take a cold shower 1st thing in the morning, but I am a puss and hate cold water

well that's the first problem ;) Get a cold shower when ever you feel tired and outa energy ;)

You wouldn't believe the energy boost you get if you do your running/cardio FIRST THING IN THE MORNING on an empty stomach, preferably accompanied with some green tea or coffee.

Not only does it burn fat, but it is also a great way to jump start your day. I don't know the exact mechanism behind the energy jolt that results from it, but you should try it out if you haven't already.

He's right above, if you do your cardio type workout in the morning before anything else, you'll have more energy throughout the day for some reason. I thought I was gonna be pooped after jogging in the morning before work at like 5:00am, but suprisingly I felt better after work than I normally did and was ready for my lifting.

Yeah, it's weird, isn't it? You would expect the exact opposite to happen. What's even more odd is that the more intense your cardio session is, the bigger an energy boost you seem to get. I did HIIT for a while, and even though I felt like my lungs were about to collapse for a minute or two afterwards, the feeling subsided quickly and got replaced by a near euphoric rush of energy and spirit.

Not a bad idea, I used to do cardio 1st thing in the morning in high school, but I have since lost that type of will power. I do my HIIT lifting in the afternoon. Maybe I should add AM cardio

These all raised my energy levels:

1) Start off the day with complex / simple carbs and easy to digest protein. I eat a bowl of oatmeal w/ honey and whey protein powder.

2) Eat as little sugar as possible (unless it's for carbs pre/during/post workout).

3) As far as supplements go. Diesel Fuel Reloaded is the best energy supplement I've ever encountered. http://www.getdiesel.net

I successfully hit the gym 5 days a week after a full time warehouse job.

Yer i second what shafty said.... when I excercise i have some much energy for the rest of the day..

it's like: exercise, shower, then you prepared to tackle the day head on.
