Meditation is the single most effective tool in gains, whether they are Penis Enlargement, relationships, business, really anything. The best meditation, in my opinion, is Abraham Hicks 68 Seconds of Pure Thought, quick and extremely effective. With any meditation it will feel odd at first, it will take time to reap the benefits but it will come and it will be to your advantage. When we learn to think right we learn to feel right and feeling good always leads to advancement!

I was taught how to meditate through deep breathing and clearing all of my thoughts. When I meditate I focus into feeling whatever it is I want to know. Some people meditate through chanting and other with religious rituals. I once knew a homeopathic doctor who used flower extracts to bring positive vibrations to energy work and I learned a lot from him. Sometimes I will concentrate harder than other times on meditating depending on whatever it is I am focusing on at the time. For me I will clear all the thoughts I am thinking, let my body relax, and feel the different forces of gravity. When I am done I usually have a stronger sense of whatever it is I want was thinking about and I always feel like it was worth taking the time to practice even if it is only for a couple minutes.

too many times no results and even bad dreams after wards....
Been at it since i was a kid, looks like some things are best left unopened!

Have you watched the video for 68 Seconds of Pure Thought? So fast and different than most hippy meditations.

Your very cynical about this field now and albeit I dont know your past (Its your choice to share or not) but for many it works and helps them out. It could be you just haven't found the right method yet and had a bad time perhaps back than, so it wasn't helping? Dont give up. Clear all your expectations on this stuff from now on and give it another shot with a fresh approach.

I meditate now and again. Used to travel to my own inner sanctuary as well. Find it helps very much for inner peace and to gain clarity on thoughts. The member Crazy_Doc should be in this thread, by his accounts he is very experienced at meditation.

I'm pretty inconsistent these days... But I used to do it a lot, not just daily but for HOURS every day. Again, my form is chanting to a mandala. This is extremely effective-by using a visual focal point, which is what a mandala is for-by focusing your eyes, it helps focus the mind. However-the best meditating I've done, it becomes like a trance-you get lost in it, perhaps impossible to describe, but this is when you can achieve something... I guess it's like watching water boil-I don't believe it happens when you are paying attention like that (by it I mean results). You must get lost in it. By chanting a mantra, which is very rhytHydromaxic, I think it is much easier than silent, or "Walking" meditation, etc. That is just my experience though. But there is no activity more important to me than chanting. But I forget this a lot these days. Some people do this even longer-for as much as even 12 hours at a time, no breaks.

Also-there is definitely a visual effect... that gives you cues, tunnel vision seems common during deeper meditation, as does the mandala shining very brightly... I believe it awakens when your mind awakens if that makes any sense. The whole concept here is FUSION-to fuse your mind with the mandala. And when it does begin to happen-this 2 dimensional object becomes 3 dimensional (and I don't mean like with blurred vision, nor like a hallucination, more like it awakens, or becomes alive), and I've seen it move a bit, shimmer... Hard to describe, and at this point, perhaps it's just too personal, so I'll stop there.

I did want to add one more thing-the sound itself. When you become in rhytHydromax with the ultimate reality (the sound of the Universe if you will), you know it-you kind of hear it, you feel the harmony, the fusion-this is the nature of meditation in general I believe, this is the goal.

Also I wanted to mention lastly-time is irrelevant, it is the nature of how you do it. I've failed for 2 hours straight before, other times, I said the mantra quietly in my head 3 times and BOOM, raised life condition... So I just wanted to add that again, meditation is definitely not about quantity, but quality-and quality is derived from sincerity, but I always wonder what combining sincerity with say, 12 hours would be like-I've never been able to get there, hope I do before I depart this world.

In case anyone is interested, I thought I would post this sound bite. This is what sounds like about 30-50 people chanting in harmony.

The Sound of the Universe

Also, in my sect-as many as 10,000 people may get together and chant in rhytHydromax-something else I hope to experience.

This one is very good in case anyone wishes to hear: This is a recitation of an excerpt from the Lotus Sutra, and from it's most important Chapter, the Juryo Chapter (This means "The Lifespan of the Tathagata" This is just a prose portion of the much longer chapter. From my sect's standpoint, this chapter is the heart of Buddhism-it is in this chapter that the "Seed of Enlightenment" is hidden. The Lotus Sutra is considered by my sect, not only the heart of the Buddha's teachings, but the most profound sutra. Many sects agree with the latter, but claim it is beyond comprehension, too difficult to understand. Part of my practice (in addition to the Chanting-which is the primary practice) is to recite the 2nd and 16th (Juryo) chapters of the Lotus Sutra, several times a day. Anyway, I could carry on endlessly, so I'll just post the sound bite and leave it at that.

I've used both meditation & self-hypnosis to alleviate the pain I was left with after meningitis and a car wreck. If done consistently they're both together just as good as any of the drugs Docs have tried to give me.
And after a good chiropractic/massage session, along with a little acupuncture, I would easily knock ten years off my age.

Greta comments. Staring using Audiopaint a free programme that takes images and makes audio sound from it. Find it gives me more intimacy in meditations and with desires. Works very well with creative positive artwork http://www.nicolasfournel.com/audiopaint.htm

Wish it worked on a mac.

I used a kinda "fusion" of Guided Visualization" & "Conscious Autosuggestion".
Piggyback this onto my meditation and I found GREAT amounts of relief.
