Why is lig length permanent?

I was wondering why specifically lig length is permanent. Think about it when you stretches do different parts or your body, like splits, you become more flexible by the ligs being able to longer but after a while of no splits you are back where you started. So if other ligament lengethning is not permanent than why is penile?

In most cases ligaments (and tendons) are "limiting" tissues in that they limit the mobility of a part of the body. While this may not seem like a good thing, imagine if your ankle were free to flop around and go any which way it wanted to. When you stretch these tissues the do become longer over time (I guess your question should be do they actually grow or do the fibers simply stretch). However, when dealing with joints, there are opposing forces (think of the biceps and triceps muscles). When the stretch is no longer applied on a regular basis the tissues tighten to a state where they can stabilize and protect the joints at the most extension currently used (you extended the range of stabilization when stretching over a period of time). In the case of the penile lig, there is no opposing force to cause it to tighten as much.
Then again, I could be wrong. Somebody call bullshit.........

The answer is in the amount of force used, in order to permanently deform the tissues. Other ligs and tendons will become permanently stretched, and cause problems, if enough force is place on them for enough time. One example is the shoulder rotator cuff.

But for the purpose of the penis, it's size and function, it does have quite a bit of connective tissue which is not easy to deform. It takes more than simple, moderate stretching to permanently deform this connective tissue.

Wouldn't the ligs in the penis be a special case in that while it is anchored at the pubic bone at the base, the other end of the ligs do not "fan out"?? into muscle. Or do they?

Mentally though if i miss a few sessions I feel smaller,
