For public and activity level. I am not wanting to impress anyone. I just want to stop turtling when I'm in a cold environment because I'm cold sensitive.

The thing with being out in public is that if you're wearing any sort of artificial device, your walk changes, the way you sit down changes, you focus on concealing something, there are outlines on your pants and there are certain tells that something is not quite right... people can tell.
I've found wrapping to be the least obvious but it's not active PE by any stretch. Even so, if you're wearing loose pants, it can look like you have a stick flopping around in your crotch and if you are wearing fitted pants, it just looks like you have a big dick or a small erection lol.
