If I shave I get ingrowns, if I pluck I get ingrowns, if I wax I get ingrowns, if I Nair I get ingrowns, if I do NOTHING I still get ingrowns. What is my problem?

I dont know how to answer about the ingrowns as I dont shave or pluck or wax. I keep everything nice and neat, and short with a Conair beard trimmer...the kind with an adjustable guard.

I shave everything down while in the tub, and I never have problems with ingrowns or anything. My guess is that's just my body though.

I generally use a hair trimmer in the pubic area around my cock, and the razor on my cock and balls.

I tried to use the hair trimmer on my ball sack once and the skin managed to get drawn into contact with the blade and made a deep cut. I swear that thing wouldn't stop bleeding for hours. So yeah, anyways, I just use a razor without any kind of lubrication, other than the bath water and it seems to work for me. I kind of think I'm in the minority with respect to that though.

I just go razor all the way and I get only a few ingrowns, no big deal though. I heard they had some kinda cream you can put on after you shave that will help reduce them though.

Well, maybe you should try a Mach 3 Turbo, haha. I must say that is the best razor I have ever tried, hands down. I can't wait until they invent the Mach 80 or something.

Seriously though, I admit it's a little scary to think about using a razor around your junk. However, I have had much less luck with electric hair trimmers and scissors, and as I result, I stick with the razor. In the end it gives me much better results anyways.

The ingrown hairs I get a huge. Sometimes they are too painful to have sex or Penis Enlargement. I just wish there was a good solution.

I tried something a while back called "Magic shave powder" it's in the "ethnic" mens grooming area. I had heard it worked for black men on their faces and so , I thought why not try it on my pubes? It worked pretty well....but was a pain in the rear to use. You have to mix it with water just right and then apply it...leave it on for just the right amount of time...if not like Nair it will burn you.

DONT USE NAIR ON YOUR BALLS!!!!

The pain almost killed me when I did it(literally, I was screaming in pain). Could be sensitive skin down there and its applies to me only. But still, it was the most excruciating pain i've ever experienced.

And what I do is shave with a mach 3, almost all of it, except a little bit above on the fat pad. I keep that trimmed up with a beard trimmer. Anyway, when I first started shaving down there it got very aggrivated and I had a ton of ingrown hairs, irritation, etc. Now that I've been doing it a while, I can shave with no shaving cream in the shower and dont get any kind of irritation or ingrown hairs. You just have to stick with it!

Well, to minimize your ingrowns, don't shave, pluck, or Nair. You can trim it to a short length, like 1/8 or 1/4 inch.

Human hair goes through a natural cycle -- but at different rates on different parts of the body. Scalp hair has the longest cycle (years) which is why it can get the longest.

Each hair grows for a while, then is idle, then it falls out. And then the cycle repeats.

That's why you can still get ingrowns if you don't shave -- you still have some hairs always starting over again from inside the follicle.

Laser hair removal is only considered "semi-permanent." Which means it isn't that effective in stopping hair growth.

Electrolysis is still the gold standard of permanent hair removal.

In either case, I don't know who you could get to do it on your balls, though. I imagine the ladies as the hair salon would have trouble concentrating on placing the electrolysis needle on the hair follicles on your balls with that huge cock of yours hanging about.

I use a Mach 3 Turbo down there, I shave pretty much everything except a little triangle above my package. I get the razor bumps/irritation as well, slap on a little gold bond body powder after, during the day if you gonna be sweaty etc, seems to help. But I dunno, I still get razor bumps and shit down there.

I do the same pattern and completely shave the balls. Then use a triple or or quad razor blade. I use Noxema as a shave cream in the shower. I make sure I've got 10+min of hot water flowing to the area to get things prepared the lather up with Noxema and leave it on for 2-3 min and it REALLY lifts ALL the hair out of the skin and its the closest shave you'll ever get!

All I have used around the scrotum is an old beard trimmer, set on a low setting. A few times, I have taken the guard off to try and get a little closer and pinched a fold of skin. :O This has caused bleeding more than once. I also look at the veins on my cock and I think I'd be hesitant to use a razor on shaft hair. You could be in for serious problems if you ever sliced a vein even slightly.

So if anyone has any surefire safety techniques, I'd love to hear them.

I shave everything with my mach 3 in the shower, then after I get out, I put my old spice deoderant on the shaved areas to prevent any irritation or red spots...someone posted it in another thread a while ago and I tried it. It actually worked! I've been using my deoderant after shaving everything but my face since then..

I use a mach 3 turbo on my balls and shaft, and shave something like BeBobBox.
Then i trim with a shaver, the part you use to fix up the beared with.
Works great, never had any problem.

Just bought a Mach 3 Turbo and I shaved everything! Works awesome, I slapped on some aftershave and then some deodorant (Careful, the aftershave stings, but I believe the deodorant helps with the bumps and irritation).

They have several types and the site not only explains what they are but how it works as well, very informative site.

I still haven't gotten around to buying one but the electrolysis seems to be the best for permanent hair removal and they start around 300.00 (USD). Not bad considering a session at a salon would cost about 60.00 (USD). Keep in mind too that the pads tweezers and whatever cost extra.

Let me know what you think of this cause I'm still undecided myself whether or not to try it.

I'm sure this thread is old or somthing, but I guess I"ll just add my input. First ball shaving is real easy.. its a lot less dangerous than u think, and in my oppinion its deff less dangerous than micro cutters or scissors.. i had a Tinyyyy cut from scissors once, wasn't that bad, i'm just to nervous to ever use them on the ol' family jewels. One reason people get ingrown hairs is because u didn't exfoliate ur skin, If u do shave ur pubes, I suggest taking a damp towel and rub down there to get off the dead skin, or take a hot bath or somthing and with a washcloth or whatever do the same thing. I don't know the hard facts I just know that u do exfoliate naturally every couple days or somthing, so ur not looking for like big pealing skin like a sunburn, u prob won't be able to notice, and ingrown hair is just a hair thats trapped under the skin because it grew out the wrong way, if u don't have that dead skin layer than u are more likely for the hair to come out the right way and not cause an ingrown. I only shave my shaft because the hair goes pretty far up it, and its pretty gross, so I have to do that.. usually I'll use a micro cutter and get it as close as possible.. but its not close enough, if u shave there I think try using a sharp razor so that u don't have to go over it more than once because repeating to go over one area causes razor burn when u shave to close to the skin, and that will leave red bumps.. not to be confused with ingrowns. I think maybe to stop ingrowns would to not be to shave so close that have to regrow under ur skin and also to make sure u exfoliate after u do it. Additional creams from a store will help there are a lot of them for women for the bikini line just pick one of those up and try it out.

I tried shaving my nuts with a Mach 3 a few days ago. Wasn't uncomfortable or anything, but it was a little challenging at times. It's damn near impossible to stretch your skin and simultaneously use the razor to get all the skin wear the bottom of the penis connect with your sack. As for the shaft, I was more nervous, but just had one small nick.
