i dont know if anyone can relate to this but ive been training for years now and the more i train the more depressing it gets. it seems that anyone i train with quickly advances in strength and size and im left in the dirt (all the time!!!) i change my routine all the time, change the exercises, reps no of sets etc. i try to eat correctly, but unless im cramming in 4000 calories/day my weight doesnt shift, and even when i do eat that much its mostly carbs so i put on fat instead of muscle.
me and my mate (who i always train with) just started a course of aas, my strength has picked up slightly. was benching 90kg x 5. now benching 100kg for 5 and ive put on about 4 kg. whereas he has put on like 8 kg and was benching 100kg for 5 now benching 120 kg for 6. i know i shouldnt be comparing myself to others but i cant help thinking that maybe my body just isnt cut out for lifting. i forgotto mention that if i have any time off, my strength rapidly falls and takes me AGES to get back. sometimes i just feel like quiting cos its so depressing, but i dont wanna be one of these fat fuckers that sits there wanting to get thin.
anyone have any advice? i was thinking of toning up and then just staying small and cut up, but if im honest with myself i dont wanna be skinny and cut. if you go to the gym then it should show, not for someone to confuse you with someone else that doesnt eat enough, just really pisses me off!!!
