Chlorine poisoning would need to be at levels much higher than that of a pool or hot tub. In an average pool the chlorine amount is about 1.0 ppm making it an extremely small ratio to water. No worries, unless you have a dumb-ass doing your Ph work.

We do it often in the pool and hot tub, the wife first noticed the longer me in the pool, thought it might be the water, little did she know.

It is true (according to sources that are credible yet no longer readily available to me for quoting directly due to my misspacing them) that long-term use of the hot tub tends to increase cancer risk by over 400%.

So, though the chlorine amount is insignificant for what would be termed a "poisoning" that causes short-term right-now symptoms, long-term use is certainly not a contribution to your "health account" but rather a "withdrawal".

I seriously doubt that what activity you engage in while in the chlorine-style hot tub really matters at all. The skin is absorbing the chlorine systemically, its temporary presence in the vagina is probably inconsequential.

So, in summary, if your going to be spending time in a hot tub anyway what you choose to do there that would otherwise be deemed healthy is most probably not going to further subtract anything at all.

So, unless you are spending lots of time in the hot tub simply for your reason stated above and you would otherwise not be there at all, it really doesn't matter.

Avoiding exposure to chlorine in virtually all it's forms is certainly a good idea. Good thinking.

Well I know it's my first post but I'm a pool and hot-tub master. LOL

Really I have converted my swimming pool to salt and my hot-tub to Baqua-spa.

I used to have a pool guy and the only thing he did each week was put WAY TO MUCH chlorine in the spa and pool. My wife's hair would fry in that crap he called water. Also if you opened your eyes under the water they would burn out of your head.

So this summer I fired him and started doing it myself and converted everything over to non-chlorine bases chemicals. The pool is cheaper to run on salt than chlorine and the salt is at a lower level than your spit so you don't taste it and it does not burn your eyes.

The stuff I now use in the spa cast WAY MORE than chlorine but our spa is only 750 gallons (8 people) so it's still not that bad and the savings from the pool pay for it. (Well the savings from firing the pool guy put me ahead about $50.00 a month) It's peroxide based and keeps the water perfect with a once a week check.

Anyway I guess my point is not all pools or spas have chlorine in them.
