advice on buying kava kava-like stuff

Alright I want to buy some for me to try and also for a freind.
Kava Kava is something from the Pacific and used by people from Fiji etc to make them feel happy. I was wondering if anyone has anyother suggestions for LEGAL herbs like kava kava that affect your mood and any feedback from your usage of them.
 
Hey red have you tried 5-htp,fish oil or st johns wort? try reishi mushrooms too. I have tried all these they worked great for me during the tough times.
 
Hey Red, I use Kava Kava about 3 times a month 2 pills a day, I have been using it for 2+ years and it is great. I have turned a bunch of friends on to it. I fully endorse it. I just pick it up cheap at www.vitaminshoppe.com
 
I also Love Kava. The effects it has on me is it clears my head, makes me feel good and makes it so its easy to get to sleep. There is a shop that sells it about 10 minutes from my house, so if I am having trouble sleeping I go there and down two coconut shells of Kava and be on my way. Its a bit expensive doing it this way, it cost me about $10 per half shell which contains a high dosage of Kava. I don't mind paying this amount but soon ill just buy some from there or another shop to make it much more cheaper.
 
Great, but what else does it affect.
How does it make you feel different? i.e more confident, how long does 2 pills effects last for and what do you take, pills or poweder? give me more feedback on your experiences with it. Does it feel similer to what alcohol does when taken?
 
Red, It kind of makes you a zombie, very very relaxed, light irritates your eyes, and it is highly addictive.

I travel a bit in the islands of Vanuatu, and they have Kava bars, which are very dimly lit huts, and they scoop you a bowl of Kava (root extract) taste like dirt, for about 10c. In the hut everyone is just sitting or laying around, and know one talks. It is weird. The effects is a numbing feeling, and you feel like you kind of loose your legs. The mind is very relaxed and slightly hallucinogenic.

My friend lives on one of the outer islands, and he says it is a huge problem with the males, as they get very lethargic, and come home at night and beat their wives, if the house is loud or there is no food.

The tablet version you get in the US will be a very scaled down version of the real deal you get in the islands.

I visited one outer island where you are greeted by the chief, then as part of the welcome ceremony, the chief chews the kava root, spits in a bowl, and that is the kava you drink on that island.
 
I have used Kava Kava in pill form for about ten years, "I would love to try the stuff that OzStetch gets." I normally take my KK at night, just after eating a pot cookie. I grow my own pot. The combination of the two provides a rather lethargic feeling of utter relaxation. If you can get some pot, smoke or eat it, then take the KK. After about 1 hour your feel very relaxed. Then go and fuck some bird, when you cum it seems to last for about 15 minuets. Although it is only about 30 seconds. Time seems to lengthened, the nerves and the whole body quivers with great convulsions. the feeling start in the groin and build up into a crescendo of utter joy, as the your back and legs move in unison with the great orgasm. Thanks for the feedback, I have placed a order with http://www.kavakava.org.uk/ for X2 bottles. I have spoken to them and they are based in FIJI with the kava kava being imported to me from Nadi airport. Its probably not as potent as what some of you use, but from what I've heard its strong enough and I just want to first try it and than if I like it move onto perhaps stronger kava kava? who knows. Its 500MG of the stuff per pill and I get 120 pills. I'll keep you informed.

Have you ever had any issues with importing it into the UK?
I know a law came into affect in 2003 in the UK banning Kava kava, but I cant find any laws to suggest its changed back, but I'm SURE I read that it was revoked and kava kava is now legal again in the UK to buy.
I think its legal to buy like 3-4 bottles for ones own use, but not for resale etc and 'apparently' it was banned because of Liver deaths 'linked' with it...sigh they forgot about TOBBACO and NICOTINE than.

No never have had any problems, I have a mate in Canada who say's they have banned the import of KK into Canada. He tells me he can still it though.
 
Alright, story so far. I had to cancel my order with http://www.kavakava.org.uk/ because they emailed me back after one week and said they dont stock kava anymore so they will refund me, fare deals. Anyways I have now come across https://www.nakamalathome.com/ which is based in the USA and I'm thinking of going with them, they do the Vanuatu high grade kava and the coconut cups, cloths etc that are needed. I've also emailed http://www.shamanspalace.com//product_info.php?products_id=276 about the high grade 90% kava, so I should decide soon which one to buy from.

I think I can help you on this issue, because I think you are trying it for the same reasons I did. The Kava kava pills are crap, you may notice a little something, but then again it could be placebo. The alcohol extract is alright but still very lame.
