Merging these posts -Stillwantmore EDIT: HA HA, sorry I don't know what I'm doing.

Mates, I ordered my Bathmate on the 14 July, and they told me it would arrive between 20-22, and here we are the 26th, and nothing yet. I know it takes time, and It must be on its way, but I only have one question: They shipped it through Royal Mail, so I would like to know the process that the package will make. I live in Brazil. Will they send it to the local post service on my city and then the post service will send it to me? If so, will it be the public post service or some private one? If not, Royal mail is in charge of delivering it to my adress themselves?

I asked these questions to Bathmate support, but they didn't answer.

Also, when my Bathmate was shipped they send me an email with a tracking number, and I don't know what I should do in order to track my package.

Please guys I need your help

Thanks

Well usually when a company you order from sends an email with your tracking information, there's a link in the email that you click on which takes you to the tracking info page. OR, sometimes you click on the tracking number itself and are taken to a tracking information page. As far as how packages are handled in YOUR country? I doubt Bathmate WOULD know...hence, no reply from them on that. That would be up to your postal service system. Also, some countries hold packages in customs until a 'tariff' is paid on them, you may want to find out how to contact your nearest customs office and see if you have a package being held in your name. They may or may not be obligated (your country's customs department) to contact you if they are holding a package. I've heard some custom departments will even return a package to the sender if it sits around too long. SO, bottom line contact your local customs office and go from there.

If customs gets a hold of an order it could take a couple weeks for them to release....such bullshit

Again, I'd contact them and ask if they're holding anything. At the least, you'll know where it is.

Okay, but is it common? I mean, for customs to get a hold on my product?

I mean, only 12 days have passed, I dont know...

It doesnt have a link =/

why would they hold the package? is it considered dangerous for them?

The question is: should i call customs of my city, or another city? (if it went to another, and then would come to mine)

Not trying to come off a smart ass, but it IS YOUR country, you should do the homework yourself and find out. How would WE know?? ;) I'm just going by what I have heard elsewhere on how some countries' customs operate. Get on Google, the phone book, ask around, be resourceful and find your answers.

HERE IS A COPY OF THE EMAIL I SENT TO Bathmate CUSTOMER SERVICE:

________________________________________________________________________
"Dear Bathmate support Staff,

On the day I made the order I received this email:

"Your order will be shipped soon. Since the product is shipped from Great Britain, delivery can take 7-10 days. When your order has been shipped we will send you a tracking number which you can use to locate your shipment."

Twelve days ago my order was shipped from your wharehouse, and I received this email:

"Your order was shipped via Royal Mail Airmail. Delivery estimate: July 20, 2010 - July 22, 2010
You will receive an additional email when tracking information is verified.
The following items were included in this shipment:
1 x Bathmate Blue (Bathmate-001)"

You guys never sent me a tracking number to locate my shipment as you promised on the first email. And I never received an additional email when tracking information was verified. I would like to know where my product is."

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Now quoting what you said on the Vampire guy thread:
It's not Bathmates job to micro manage your order until it reaches you.

I agree wit you. But it is their job to give us something to track our package. They promised this in the email, and disrespectfully reglected it. It is their job to assist us. Me too, just like the guy on the other thread, went to every f**** mail office in my town and also CALLED CUSTOMS, but they said that the only way that they can track my package is by a 13-digit tracking number... which WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME.

now, feel free to lock this thread if you want. at least you have your Bathmate right?

Yea I do, no need to get all pissy there bud. I'm sorry you and another guy or two are having issues getting your Bathmate. I can sorta see your side, and perhaps Bathmate needs to adjust some things...namely the emails they send out (most likely automated once an order is filled). Looking at a calendar, you've been waiting 9 business days. That's not that long. Again, as said in this thread and elsewhere, it's not unusual for an order from one country to another to take more than that. It is possibly IN your country and sitting in customs. I've got quite a bit of experience ordering various things from other countries. I've seen some things fly from one country to mine in 5 days, (business) and seen some orders take 3 weeks (again in business days) or longer. The easy part is usually getting the order from country A to country B. The hard, often unpredictable part is how ''eager'' customs in whatever the destination country is to sort through their thousands of packages they must sort through and inspect (quite similar to the process of airport security screening). Customs workers are also usually similarly educated and poorly motivated no matter where you go. They're government employees with bad attitudes usually.

I doubt Bathmate is 'duping' anyone, or not sending out orders. They should in fact come through on their end with the tracking numbers...which would merely tell you your package is ''Inbound into customs'' once it does enter your country....sometimes that status NEVER changes. I've seen that happen on MULTIPLE orders...then a package just shows up one day. So, really ''tracking'' on international shipments is often times not worth much. So, even if Bathmate was 100% up to par on their end with sending out follow up emails with tracking information, the tracking system itself can't be guaranteed to be. I guess it would provide a little comfort to some people to have that tracking number....as worthless as it may or may not be ;)

I locked the other thread because that guy is clearly (from convos privately with DLD as well) not doing anything on his end. He's expecting Bathmate and DLD to jump through hoops to get his Bathmate to him.

I admit though, Bathmate makes a wonderful product, but like most companies needs work on some things related to customer service. Posting shipping issues and griping about the issues here in the public forum though does nothing in reality. It shows very little tact in my opinion. Private Messages to DLD and Agnus (AKA Bathmate here on the forum) would work better.

I've delt with many companies by the way (and still do) who are great at making a product, but are not that great with customer service sometimes. It happens.

The tracking number is usually clickable within the email client. If not you can copy and paste the URL that is displayed in the email to your browser.

Dear StillWantMore2,

Several months ago, we decided to outsource shipping of our units to a third party. It goes well in 99% of cases and they make less mistakes than our own shipping department did. One of the key reasons we outsourced was the fact that we needed to have our warehouses closer to our customers, and we are still adjusting. We are still greatly underestimating the US buying power and are having hard time restocking but we are almost at a level where there wont be backlogs or re-directed shipments sent from the UK Warehouse.

In some countries, such as France and Germany, we have employed Amazon to send our packages, because we want our customers to get only the best, and Amazon is probably the biggest shipper in the world. We plan to move all shipping operations to Amazon.com in the US before the year is over. Our tests in France and Germany have prooven that they can be trusted to deliver on time, all the time in a much faster and quicker way than any other shipper we have used so far.

Regarding the automatic emails, I am not a big fan of those either, they only come in English and are not customizable to our needs, some items have tracking numbers and some don't. The computer knows this and should send out only relevant information but something we have to look at sir.

Kind regards,

Agust
