Is it normal for my penis to be shorter if I add another half turn (I was already doing one full turn) or is that a sign that I added another half turn too early?

Yes with each twist your penis will become slightly shorter due to the twist. This is what you desire because you want to Tunica to be as tight as possible while you stretch out word.

Blessed are those who are doing bundled stretches for they will deform the tunica and the tunica will never go back to it's original size even after they stop PE.
