First off are they attacking you in public? if so file charges! unless you, yourself are an unsavory part of society.
I am a martial arts instructor, and I have studied about every kind of martial art i could find, It's not the art, it's how it's taught and how you train. The belt around your waist means nothing, but how you apply your knowlege does.
don't jump into something that takes a life time to learn to defend yourself, like aikido, judo or jujitsu... if this guy has friends. while your wrestling with him they will stomp your head into the ground.
Krav Maga is fine, Jeet Kun Do is great too.. some karate schools tae kwon do schools, even kung fu school offer great self defense options, it all depends on the instructor, not the style.
If you put a lot into your mind, learn to stay away from fights, be observant, pick up a stick, cross the street, see them first. Talk them out of it... .... that said, over 10 years in martial arts has shown me it's easier to avoid them than just kick their ass.. because they aren't smart enough to know it will happen the same way again,
Also as a certified firearms instructor... don't even go there, you'll end up in jail where there are more just like them, unless your life is in SERIOUS danger. If so get proper instruction. Then get a gun you aren't affraid for the cops to get when you use it.
