Hey guys,

I'm trying to build up my chest, but am having a few problems. Whenever I do a press up or bench presss (less so with bench presses), my right elbow makes a clicky feeling, and doesnt move smoothly when I lower the weight or myself. It feels really wierd although it doesnt hurt, and I am worried that my elbow is screwed up, and that maybe I should back off the training, which is a pity as I am making real progress.

The other elbow has a nice smooth action and I just want them both to be like that !

Help !

Hydromaxm i used to have elbow problems when i bench pressed too and coincidently it was also in my right elbow. But I found that when I take all necessary precautions and warm up properly before lifting My benchers elbow doesn't act up. I mean I stretch, then i stretch witht the bar, then I bench the bar for a couple of reps, then I bench 145 for a couple, etc. Also keeping my elbows in has helped me to lift more and to feel less pain in my elbow.

it was never really the elbow for me, but the wrists. THe wrists felt like they were gonna pop off or something or was it something in my head, since i was benching a little too much for my own good. Mainly felt sorer than the rest of the body for the first month i was benching, but i got over it and im benching much better now. Oh btw if your benching learn how to breathe. I figured out the hard way and the guys at my gym were like dude your benching much more than your weight, if you dont breathe your gonna pop a blood vessel. OH SNAP
