Are there NO MODS in here??!! SPAM IS KILLING THE SITE

There are a few options available for keeping a good amount of the spam out, unfortunately the best way is to make new users moderator approved before that can post. This would eliminate all bots patrolling around and filling out forms and dropping random shit on the boards.

Next best way after that is all the usual stuff, captchas, etc. the most tedious route ensures the best quality.

Admin should not allow 10 + pages a day of spam through into the forums. It needs addressed ASAP so these forums can continue to be productive, and not become another dead link.

So i get here at MOS almost one full year before you, i give advice to hundreads, maybe thousands counting my PM box or my email, then get promoted to MODERATOR and now i am supposed to be cleaning house and staying quiet, nevermind my experience, my results, my whole participation on this site ??!!! What the hell is up with that crap ?? I should be unbiased ??!!! What the hell does that mean ?? I'm biased?? I shouldn't help newbs or give my opinion ??!! Sorry dudes, i think you got it ALL wrong, being a MODERATOR does not mean you forget who you were beforehand nor does it mean your OPINION suddenly should be kept silenced and is of no further use.

Threak-x dude, i'm disapointed in you, i really am. But hey, if my opinion or experience is no longer needed BECAUSE i have been made a MOD then maybe my purpose here is done. I'm not in this to delete spam, i am in it to grow my unit and help others get to their goals. Nothing more.

My understanding of the role of the Moderator is the same as yours, Mike. I think that the role has changed since the site has been overrun with spam. There is another purpose in allowing the spam to flood the site, which I will explain to you, (if I understand it correctly), on the Mod forum

Thank you for you very kind and supportive words my good buddy Goin, but i am in no mood to stay here only to be a damn cleaner after the input i already gave to this site. You know that i love this place and that i made more friends than i can account for but i really am sad that dudes that weren't even around when i started here telling me what i should and shouldn't do. That just isn't fair.

I'm not going to bitch about this, if my "job" has gone from giving advice to so many people, successfull advice at that, to simply deleting spam and NOT GIVING MY OPINION OR ADVICE, then i'm gone. I am NOT a maid, i am an experienced Penis Enlargement'er with very good results and a ton of knowledge.

Ohh well... i'm off.

Ok Guys, first let me apologize for my absence, I was in the hospital for the past 2 weeks and just got home today. When I saw this thread I immediately called Jaz and told him something needs to be done immediately to fix this. The last time I was on the forum I spent 4 hours getting rid of spam when i could have been working with you guys on what we are here for Penis Enlargement. This place is starting to seem more like Matters of Spam than Size. The first thing we will be installing will be user verification so when someone joins they will need to verify a word to continue to register. There is also some new technology Jaz informed me of that some forums are using that he will describe to us tonight. We will get this problem dealt with.

Possibly approving new threads from users may be the only action we can take. Catching these guys at registration seems to be impossible. I just glance through each forum 8-10 times a day and try to catch it as it happens. We will get it under order, I promise.

Nobody needs that from a place where you can let your guard down and discuss the most private information about yourself.

You need to light a fire under Jaz's ass and make him move and correct this problem, that is unless you no longer care about the free forums?

I was in the fucking hospital and I could not do a fucking thing. The spam issue now is much different than it was 8 days or 2 weeks ago or whatever. The spam issue has become an automatic posting issue with no registration required. I am doing what I can today if that is not good enough than fuck it.

OK, I have set up word verification which will stop any normal spam-bots from being able to register which will cut down on most of the spam. The next step is finding out how un-registered users are posting. Just called Jaz and he will call me back.

I just tried to register and the word verification seems to be working. If another mod could log out and try to re-register to see if it is working for them it would be helpful.

Do what you can and continue to do what you can Mike that is what is important here. I'm sorry that you were in the hospital and am happy that you are recovering no question. Even if it take months to combat the spam issue it was well worth it because it will save your website.

Us mods just need to know that something is really being done about and that hard work is in action to rectify all of this and make MOS a more productive place. If mods are spending all of there time cleaning spam then Penis Enlargement knowledge from the vets will be limited.

Mike, my main concern was anybody doing anything about this, as long is the admins are searching for answers then I have no complaint. All I ask is please keep the mods informed on the status of the progress of this project.
