LOL @ all you dudes, i hope i have been doing a good job, at least i have been eliminating dozens of spammers on a daily basis and banning them with a smille and politeness ehehehh

...and yeahh MIKEs are a really tough bunch to chew eheheh we are made of a rare raw material, pure brain. haha

Hey Mike and other admins,

There are lots and lots of spam messages on this board. I think you should incoperate catchpas in the forum software when posting a message.
I think vBulletin should have a plugin for this.

Hey joschka, wasup? I think those have already been incorporated to no avail, i have no power to do that, all i can do is delete, ban, ip ban and few other tools.

We have proposed the very same thing b4 but still it does not work.

I'm out of ideas now...all i can do is keep on deleting threads...

i delete on average 100 spam threads a day...depending on what time of day i come up here...it is more than that...it has been out of hand for a while now...i don't know why catchpas doesn't work on this site when it works on every other site that i have been on...i guess we keep on deleting until we get tired of it and let it over run the site.

Hmm, im a super moderator over at Pegym. And now and then we get spam but its rediculous over here. I feel for you guys having to spend your valuable time deleting spam.

I removed a few dozen just now. It seems that they concentrate on the BB and Chuck's subforums.

Indeed it does seem so but i'm afraid that even removing thoses 2 sub forums "they" will just hop onto the next and so on, and so on...

Geeez what has changed in MOS server security that seemed to work super fine b4 ?? Now it seems all garbage makes it in and when it rains....it fucking pours....

This is taking so much of my time that giving advice to beguiners is being left behind and that is what we are supposed to do here and not just "clean house" like we have for months now...>

If the Member [spammer] isn't complying to the rules at MOS then you remove their post(s) and/or the Member(s)

i think Threak means you should be focusing on keeping the forum up and running, not helping to answer newb questions.

Monitors are for monitoring, and remaining unbiased, meant to provide info, not opinion.

How does one become a MOD? I really like this site and forum and check new posts often, many times a day so I can happily help delete spam that clog up the forum.

you have to be chosen by dld or an admin...i guess it goes by how knowledgable you are, how long you been active, and how helpful you are to other members...and it's not the point of having to delete so many...it's not a hard process to get rid of them..the point is that if we had a security software in place we wouldn't have to the volume of spam has increased a lot in the last couple of months again....we have enough mods to get rid of it...if we all don't get tired of doing it in the process
