That all said, i'm not trying to take away anything from Royce. He has certainly changed the way people fight and brought BJJ to the public. I was just saying that the edge he once had against his opponents is long gone. Most good fighters today are well versed in groundfighting and it is 10 times as hard for a pure BJJ fighter to win the UFC and other MMA contests.

i knew his style would give Jones a lot of trouble, and Jones was getting progressively slower with each fight of late

Rant number 2 lol
Fights to see[wish list]: Would love to see Rizzo VS Trillagman for the 3rd time...end it ONCE and FOR ALL.
Rizzo VS Arlovski, now Arlovksi is another of my fav fighters and I seen him fight back in his Russian days from old footage and he has improved alot.
Now I reckon he would beat Rizzo and what a match it would be.
Josh Barnett [SO UNDERATED its unreal] first UFC fighter to beat Couture and he did it with fashion, the guy fought one hell of a fight with Rizzo and he got KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT, wow what a KO.
Anyway, me love to see him fight Couture again.
Mercado for Brazil Vale Tudo fight Robbie Lawler so he could kill the mouthy twat lol
I saw a fight with Mercado in, and he smashed the guy that hard, the teeth..well some teeth came out and blood went everywhere.
Over in Brazil they are alittle slow in getting them off KO oponents so he had some extras...I might have spealt his name wrong, but hes a BRILLIANT fighter and I reckon he would make superb action in the UFC if he went that direction.
Jose 'pele' Landi VS Jorge Patino rematch...fuckin hell they HATE eachother and make good fights.
Hey I have a larger list lol but these are the ones I would love to see now.
Also Hermes Franca rematch with Yves Edwards....Franca will win.

Yeah I would LOVE to see Rizzo against any aggressive striker, esp. the likes of Arlovski or Silva. His counter-punching style and brutal power would make for some serious fucking fireworks if it happened. These do need to happen before the poor guy gets any uglier and retires lol.

Isn't Rizzo the guy that Couture beat twice as a heavyweight?? Their first fight was a balls to the walls punch fest and in their second fight, Couture pummelled him.

I'm sure he could be beaten, but he doesnt have weak knees or punches...ask the guys he tratted.
