I have to say that this is one of the smartest ways to make a commitment and stay motivated. I don't think I could do this unless I was having sex 3-4x a week every week. In the last year or so I've found out that once I get somewhere around day 9 or 10 without ejaculating I start getting very uncomfortable. It's not the mental sexual tension/frustration (I do get that but I can ignore it), it's an actual physical uncomfortable. Its like I can tell when my prostate needs to be emptied.

Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with masturbating even if you're having sex regularly as long as it doesn't interfere with your sexual relationship with your partner. There have been times where I was having great sex every other day and thinking about my wife got me turned on to the point that I decided to masturbate. I was still able to perform with her when she wanted and there were no issues. To me that's more than okay because it was the thought of her that sparked everything in my head.
When you choose adult entertainment and masturbation over sex with your partner there's a problem.
At least that's my opinion on masturbation when in a relationship. As for the adult entertainment industry and what happens off camera, well, that's an entirely different discussion.

I feel bad for what happened, more the adult entertainment than the masturbation. I prayed for forgiveness and I talked with my Spiritual Guide and the Brotherhood, I feel I have been given absolution from all (God my Guide and the Brotherhood). I will think on this today and in addition to the time clock and the challenge I will think of other things to include to help me go longer. If you have suggestions I am all ears.

well...if you're dead-set against masturbating, Mother Nature will eventually provide you with some relief but I don't believe relying on Nocturnal Emissions as a way to mitigate the 'build-up' will work. Too sporadic and capricious for it to be of any consistent use. So we're left with either a GF or surrogate of some kind...are you against having an FWB?
Fighting what Nature has designed us for is a recipe for failure, finding ways to physically/emotionally/morally come to terms with whatever 'alternative' means for ejaculation would be the next/logical step(s). Pretty simple really, it's just getting your brain to accept that our primary directive is to procreate and all functions are created to support this...the trouble starts when you try to deny what you've been made to do.
