Hello, DLD.
First of all, I don't believe this is in the right section, but I had no idea where else to put it. So, please, if you find if useful, could you move it to the right section?

I've read somewhere in the forum that you plan on having some kind of software done for [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] based on The visualizer.
I believe that would indeed be awesome.
Now, since [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] is a great deal about motivation, how about adding some sort of motivators to that software?
For instance, when a guy makes some sort of gains, having some sort of comparison for him to know where he's standing.
Examples (after a guy enters his stats):

erect length: 7.5"
erect girth: 4.5"

Messages:
"congratulations! You are now as long as Mr. Pornstar A"
"well done! You are now longer than Mr. Pornstar B"
"Well done! Your penis is as thick as Mr Pornstar C's"
"good work! Your erect length is now in the extra-large category"
"excelent effort! Now you'll need XXL condoms"

I understand this would take a lot of research, but I'm pretty sure that if everyone helps in finding out pornstars' stats (legit ones, that is) and surveys' results this could work and be of great aid in motivating the guys.

I know that TheVisualizer already lets us compare our stats to average values and pornstars' cocks, but it can get demotivating when guys stat comparing themselves with Lex Steele or Mandingo (and, of course, they WILL inevitably make that comparison).

I believe this could help guys stay focused and motivated because it would only show them the bright side of their efforts.

I'd very much like to know what you and the other guys in the forum think of this?

Cheers and thanks for all the work you put on [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words].

They have a web site for that, and its actually pretty useless, as the sizes for adult entertainment stars are overestimated as hell...like 14 inches and stuff.

I think this is a damn good idea!
Dude, thanks for steppin' right up to the plate and takin' a big swing at a major undertaking.
Keep us all up to date on your progress on this project; there's a lot of talent at [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words], I'm sure a few guys wouldn't mind giving you a helping hand if you run into any problems.

Congrats on taking the initiative.

I agree but we need a programmer to donate their time and effort to make this happen. With the thousands of guys out there there must be a programmer that can help out. Someone sent me a message saying they would do it for 3 gees, yeah right! I have helped a lot of guys I just need one to help me.

I'm sure we can already find some of the information here at the forum, at least the scientific surveys and such.
DLD, I understand your problem. Unfortunately, my knowledge in computers doesn't go that far.

Maybe all the programmers are on vacation now rofl.

Hopefully someone will come along with these expertise, it would be a wonderful addition.

Sooooo.......

Basically what you're saying is, "Hey! I'd really enjoy this...someone else come do it for me"
I thought you were actually volunteering to accomplish something.
Never mind.

Well, just because I can't do it doesn't mean I'll throw the idea into the garbage bin. If this weren't supposed to be a place where one can exchange ideas, knowledge and expertise, it wouldn't be a forum but simply a website with no interaction between the members/visitors and the creator/moderator. If I come up with an idea, Mr. X comes up with the materials and Mr. Z comes up with the assembly process, I think we all get to gain from it. I'm sure you are familiar with the concept of synergy, so there's no need to get into any further detail here. :)

Now that I got it off my chest, where was it that I said I wouldn't do anything about it? Just because I can't create a programme it doesn't mean I won't do any research for the parameters I described, and that is one of the more important steps of my idea, for without the data the programme will be useless.

Try not to be so quick at jumping to conclusions next time.

Peace and Penis Gains.

Well, if he was, I failed to get it, and that's my bad.

Either way, I stick to my ending sentence: Peace and Penis Gains. rofl

Well... halfway. How many times have we read on this forum someone posting "HEY!!! We need to do this, that and the other mother fukkin thang!!!"
And yet have no concrete way of accomplishing the WOWEE thing. Nor any productive input; just some vague idea of "what-would-be-cool".

I really thought this guy might have actually had a plan and method. Not simply idle day-dreaming.

Exchange of ideas is admirable, desirable; but to speak of things as if they were a foregone conclusion while fully intending to rely on the effort of others, or , simply being unaware of the effort and/or expense involved in bringing the concept to fruition....well....we've all seen just how far that get's us.

I mean, if someone donates the cash to do this I will do it. The last guy asked for $1500-$3000 to create a visualizer for [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words]

Still jumping to conclusions, I see.

OK, to make things clear, I understand what you're saying, but if you're going to rant about every single suggestion just because the person who made isn't going to put some effort in accomplishing it, this forum is going to lose.
We cannot blame people for throwing a suggestion, even if they're not going to do anything about it. If it is a goof suggestion, maybe it can't be done now for some reason, but it is still worth saving it for later.
DLD started this great forum for us. Do you think he has the time to go through all of the messages that are posted here everyday? No, he relies on other moderators to help him. Even if those moderators volunteered, I'm sure he appreciates their help. I am also pretty sure that this site has, at this point, grown past what DLD can handle on his own. So, from your perspective, just because he can't do it all on his own, should he have not started [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] in the first place? Should he shut it down now? I'm sure that's not what you think would be best.
So, just because I can't do all the work involved in my suggestion, should I have kept my thoughts to myself? Sorry, but no. I posted the suggestion to test the waters, to see if it was worth it to even start collecting some data, to see if someone else would come up with some idea to improve it, hell, to even make sure it wasn't being worked on by someone else already.

Besides, once again, I never ever said I wasn't going to move a muscle. I only stated that I couldn't do the computer programming part. Plus, I mentioned from the beginning that I knew it would take some work.

So, to sum it up, I totally understand your frustration with previous experiences, but let's not throw away suggestions that easily.

I'm sure you didn's say this just because you enjoy tryping:
"I think this is a damn good idea!

One moment there's a lot of talent at [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words] and guys who won't mind giving me a helping hand, and then I'm being criticized for saying that I know nothing about programming? Nah, I believe your intentions were the best when you first expressed your enthusiasm on the idea. :)

So stick to it, stop whining and give people some credit. :p

Cheers

None, because I keep coming back to this discussion instead of spending my free time researching. :p

Would you mind telling me what the point of all this conversation is? Because I got lost somewhere along the way as to what benefits it will bring to the main subject.
I have other things in my life that demand attention, so I can't dedicate all my time to this. Rest assured, when I have some kind of decent material to get this thing going, I will share it. My primary goal was achieved: I got replies to my idea and the response was good.

Now I'll bury my hatchet, with the bladed edge poiting down.

(obviously, everyone is free to keep on commenting whichever way they please)

Ideas are insubstantial, made concrete only through the expenditure of energy in whatever form it may require.
There is no conversation; you presented an idea, now it is time for you to take steps to make it real.
Children daydream, men solve problems, as I asked you; what steps have you accomplished to bring your suggestion from idea to reality?

That is what i think. Do not solicit what you are unwilling, or unable, to accept.

Please, do not take things out of context or twist my messages! When I asked what you guys think of this, I meant the idea I presented, and that you did in your first reply (which I still appreciate).
What's being discussed now is an opinion on how these kinds of ideas (or any idea, if I understand your point correctly) should be followed up. And that is not what I solicited.

"Ideas are insubstantial, made concrete only through the expenditure of energy in whatever form it may require." I totally agree! But, for heaven's sake, an idea has to be there to start with. Without an idea there is no action, or any action that might be taken is pointless because it is not directed to any goal.

"Children daydream, men solve problems." Well, first of all, that's BS. If you don't daydream and all you do is solve problems, accept my condolences. Come on, even Martin Luther "Had a Dream". Maybe he should have started fighting without a cause.
Second, there is no problem here to be solved, there's an idea that is still in the works. You are the one trying to turn this into a problem that needs to be solved. It isn't!

"there's a lot of talent at [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words], I'm sure a few guys wouldn't mind giving you a helping hand if you run into any problems." Are you one of the guys that don't mind giving a helping hand, or you're one of the problems I might run into? So far, you haven't proved yourself to be the former.

Anyway, I'm at peace with myself and will show some work when I have it done, not when someone asks me. If you're at peace with yourself too, then great, life goes on and we all live happily ever after with our ever growing dicks.

This IS the last I'll discuss about it. I'm done justifying my methods. I will only post on this thread to reply to messages about the technicalities of my idea from now on.

Thank you for your attention.

Well lets be friends and try to solve this problem together. I know someone out there is just waiting for the opportunity to help [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/join-now.html]MOS[/words].

Oh, I don't mind the little feller at at; I just wish he's presented himself after he'd gotten past the "Gee Whiz!!" stage and actually had something of substance to contribute.

UHydromaxmm... Gee Whiz?!? Translation, please? That was a bit too much slang for me, sorry (I'm Portuguese, so my English only goes so far). Didn't get what you're saying. Honest! ?:(
