Now check this out, I have been shaving for about 3 weeks now and I have made some very cool personal observations. In my past anytime I tried to trim, puck, shave or nair any pubic hair I could set a timer to when I would get the ingrown hairs. This problem kept me in pubic bondage and people who have seen my forest of hair know that I was losing at least 2" of cock in that jungle. I never thought I had a choice so I never really pursued the barber shop. Anyway I think I have found the solution for myself. What I have been doing is shaving daily. This was almost painful for the first week but daily shaving is necessary to eliminate in-grown hairs. I first take a vry hot bath and let myself soak for 10 minutes, after the soak I put a liberal amount of hair conditioner on my pubic area and let that sit for a minute. Then I shave my entire pubic area exactly how I want it to look. After I am finished shaving I use either a luffa pad or foot brush and I exfoliate the area I just shaved. This ensures that the hairs will not get trapped under spent skin. This should never happen anyway because I am shaving daily but I found it to be a good step to get make the skin less sensitive. As I said it has been three weeks and not 1 ingrown. For the first week the area was irritated but this I found to be temporary and now, with the exception of the occasional razor bumps, I get nothing.

A very cool trick I've learned, is after you shave, pass some deodorant over the area.

This will close the pores, and will virtually eliminate ingrown hairs. Should smell good too.

I've done it, and it worked well for me. No ingrowns.

I have tried this but what happens, if I don't shave everyday, the deodorant will clog the pore and the hair will grown in.

Aye, when I used the deodorant method I would shave every day as well.

It gets much easier to shave too after a bit.

It's a bitch though when you shave in the morning and already by the afternoon you have stubble, haha.

In the past I did a post on shaving I use Noxema well Walmart's generic copy. The closest shave I could ever get and it lasts 2+ days I really endorse it. Try it some time.

I have been shaving completely dry with allot of luck. I use a 3 blade razor and the shave is great with absolutely no bumps or burns.

Yea, I have to say either use one of those 3 blade (or 6 or whatever the new thing is now) razors or use a fresh disposable every day. The sharpness really effects how close it gets.

Hey guys about a week and a half ago I shaved the hair that was growing up my shaft, and after a few days i got a pimple/ingrown hair on the bottom of my buddy, I tried to pop it at first but it wasnt happening and it was painfull. now its bigger and 2 days ago I poped it a little bit but its REAL painfull and today i could pop it again (well squeeze it and get a little bit of puss out of it) but it wont go away. What should I do?

This is definitly some sort of ingrown hair/pimple thing going on because it happened RITE after I shaved, well a day or two later it started showing up. and I've been with my girl for a year and a half and we live together so Im positive its not an STD or anything. I have had this hapopen before but it usually went away a few days after I pop it.

Please help

Good idea...cuz that's exactly what i did...problem is, you have to let it heal for a week or two or it will STILL come back! That's what happened to me

I have a Braun 1000 series that I bought at Wal-mart for about $30. I just grab my head, pull, and shave my shaft. No nicks or anything. BUT, if I use the trimmer side then it's a different story...ouch!

The shaver is very good and pretty dang smooth and I am doing it daily.

ok this ingrown hair is not going away, I fucked around with it the other night like some said to but I couldnt get anything out of it adn it was painfull, and now its bigger than before since i messed with it. I dont want to go to the doctors because im a little embarased. does anyone know of any product I can put on it to help the hair to come to the surface, that will like soften the skin adn force the hair up and out?

This will go away after you have shaved for a few weeks. I had all the same issues but once the skin became used to it I never got bumps or burns again and I am a hairy dude, I need to shave my face twice a day sometimes. I need a haircut every other week. I have a carpet on my chest. No back hair though.

Yes, I had every issue you can with my skin when I first started. It took a good month to get to the point where these issues disappeared.

You can try a coconut base shaving cream or just make your own.

I used to get bumps, but I shave frequently to the point where it seems that area becomes immune to getting bumps.

Coconut oil has a lot of fatty acids and seems to also have some affect on DHT/hair. So that may also have an affect on why I no longer get bumps.

interesting. how do you make your own?

You can use a 1:1 ratio of coconut and another skin safe oil (almond/shea/olive/ETC).
You can also use just 100% coconut oil as long as it's not solid. The heat from a shower/bath will also help liquify it.

You can also just get by with using it as a moisturizer on a just shaved area. I did that before and it worked just the same.
It might just be what goes on afterwards, rather than what you're actually using.

I switched to pure coconut oil since it's cheaper for me and I use it for a lot of other purposes.
Plus I only purchase just 1 thing (coconut oil) and it knocks out like 5+ uses. So it saves me from having to make multiple purchases.

The type I use is unscented, which BLOWS!! I agree, the smell is very nice if you purchase that type.

I think all extra virgin types are naturally scented: Vitacost Extra Virgin Certified Organic Coconut Oil - Non-GMO -- 54 fl oz - Vitacost (the cheapest I have seen)
You can also get 10% off that purchase.

The first review @ the top states:
but I wish it had a stronger coconut smell and taste

So it might not be that powerful of a smell or the person may have destroyed their nose by doing a bunch of cocaine back in the day.

If you get some, report back if you don't mind.

I still am using a bulk purchase from last year and I'm waiting until that runs out before I make a bulk purchase of the extra virgin type.

For me, I now shave once in a week. And when I shave, I shave towards the direction that the hairs are facing. This has helped me to eliminate ingrown hairs completely.

Some cleaning tips for: Cartridge Razor blades
= The blades will stay sharp much longer.

I clean my cartarage razor blade/blades with Isopropanol, also named as: isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or: 2-propanol.

You can find Isopropanol easy. It's main usage is for cleaning electronics. Isopropanol is an alcohol that's chemically pure (>99.5%) with no additives. You need pure alcohol for cleaning your blades.

What I do is that I buy a flask of Isopropanol, and then I fill a little spray bottle, so I do not waste to much of it, each time the cleaning procedure happens (shaving every day).

This is the setup:
IMG_20231014_140132.jpg

What I do is that during the shave, I make sure that I constantly are running through the blades with warm water, so no hair will get stuck in between the blades. This is not much of a problem, if you shave every day in the shower.

I use hair monster's methodology for shaving in post #1 in this thread.

After the shave I'm running through the blade with warm water (almost hot) and then cold water to get rid of the stuck hairs.
After that I spray the blades down with Isopropanol, and then I put my Cartarage Razor in a glass on top of the the bathroom cabinet, so It will dry up quickly.
Keeping the blades clean, is an important aspect of keeping them sharp.

The best thing would be to use a safty razor (cheeper and sharper blades). But I have tried that in the past, and that was not a comfortable experience.

If you shave every day down there with this cleaning procedure afterwards, your blades will last much longer. The blades are not cheep, so it's a good thing they last longer. You don't need to spray a lot of it, just a few sprays are enough.

Kind regards!

Great advice. I will give it a go. I go through blades like crazy
