Just order the Power 90 [words=http://www.mattersofsize.com/mosdvd.htm]DVD[/words] workout plan from beachbody. Came in at 79 bucks and they are sending a meal plan, and a resistances band. along with a calendar and tape measure to monitor results.

I went ahead and did the Power 90 instead of the p90x because I'm not in shape and if I start a program that I can't do all the exercises I'd be more likely to fail. I also feel it'll work better for me to start and get a solid foundation first (it's also about half the cost) not to mention the workouts are a good bit shorter...we'll see anyone else used/using this program?

I'm excited I'll keep you all up-to date once I get my delivery :)

i heard the regular p90 is supposed to be good as well so kudos to you for taking a step forward with it. I am going into phase 3 of p90x in a week and it is kicking my ass some nights. Outstanding workouts, if i discipline my diet a bit better i can probably get better results on my 2nd 90 day stretch after this one. IF p90 is the roots of p90x you are going to like it

P90x was great for me penguinsfan. I dropped almost 20lbs during the 90 days. Strength skyrocketed again and gave me the boost i needed to start getting physical again.

I'm thinking about ordering. Nothing seems to be burning the fat these days. >:(

Both programs are actually very well executed as far as how they are put together. They're perfect for most people who are looking to drop some bodyfat, and tone up, maybe add a little lean muscle. You won't end up being the next "Arnold", or a top fitness model using these types of programs, but that's not what most people are looking for anyway. Sure, the commercials use the "best results" stories because those sell the programs. If I knew very little about lifting weights, eating properly to attain the bodyfat level I wanted, etc...(like most people don't), I'd choose such a program.

I'll give my results for the 30 days of work I managed to do (I'm planning to start fresh again in May when classes are finished)

That was at day 30 I actually kept at it for another 2 weeks and ended up around day 45 at 220 pounds I currently stay around 220-225 (so it wasn't just a quick fix weight loss the pounds have stayed off!!!) and I stopped in like January.

My mum is doing P90x and she thinks I should too but I think it'll be too much for my knee. I passed the fitness test but it was swollen afterwards. So I was thinking about doing P90 but I don't want to pay for it. I just wish I could fix whatever is wrong with my knee.

You might want to try omega 3 fish oil to improve circulation, hyaluronic acid to help lubricate the joint and of course, vitamin C for healthy connective tissue. Take 20mg per lb of body weight of vitamin C divided into smaller doses throughout the day. Vitamin C with bioflavonoids is even better as it increases the molecular half-life of C keeping it in your system longer. Also, if you smoke, take an extra 25mg per cigarette. A good magnesium supplement(any form but magnesium oxide-it barely absorbs into the body) will help alot with joint, muscle and just pain in general. It's a powerful natural muscle relaxant and mild blood thinner for improved circulation and, sad to say, most people are deficient in this mineral.

Hope any of this might help you.
