I have the same problem , i think its eraly in our hanging days thats why , just keep going as normal and im sure after a while it wqill go away , same happened to me while BTC after a month it didnt happen !

No, I got this when I went to OTS hanging. I hung BTC and SD for 3-4 months and didn't have the problem. I had good gains and switched angles after the gains stopped.

sponge,

>I have stopped all hanging till things heal up.<

I think that is the worst thing you can do. When I had discoloration, I would simply cut back on time and/or weight. I found the discoloration would go away whether I was hanging or not. But I also found that if I took time off, even a day or so, the discoloration would come back after I started again, sometimes even at low weights.

Just like many other things, the discoloration is a sign of deformation. It is a sign that the soft tissues have been stressed, and they are reacting to the stress. If you do not continue to apply the stress, in a consistant manner, the soft tissues will never adapt.

>I got some Arnica gel to help too. About how long does it take this stuff to work?<

For me, a day or two at most. Be sure you have the Arnica gel, 7-12% concentration.

>This never happened before and it's like there is something wrong in that area. I did manual jelqing for over a year and never had this. I got some Arnica gel and I started using it 3-4 times a day. The dark areas go back close to normal but are still a little dark after about an hour or so. It's like the blood vessels are broken in those spots or something. Has anyone else had a problem like this?<

Many have had these problems. I would say it is almost normal. It seems most guys do not want to give the soft tissues time to adapt, especially when they change angles, and are applying new stresses to different tissues. Seldom do they lower the weight properly at a new angle.

Spongebob , i was meaning early in our hanging days regarding the OTS hanging angle i have and still have some bad discolouration some days worse than others hey it looks bad but its actually a good sign in soem ways. Try to warm wrap with a wash cloth b4 u start and after each set to reduce some of the blueness and redness.

Bigger, the discoloration is in the skin under the glands. it gets dark, almost black in color
then after a few hours it just looks like a dark blue bruise. It never returns to normal and looks like a dark spot. if a girl saw it she would probabily ask me what happened. I did some light jelqing today and it didn't turn black like the other day so it's getting better. I just can't go back to hanging till this clears up. You know how you say that everyone knows their on body and know when to back down? Well, I can tell I have done something wrong and for me I think I must give this a little time to heal before I go back to hanging. when I do return I will not push it as hard as I did. I could tell that the way I was going it was just getting worst even when I backed down in weight and the last thing I want to do is do some damage that can't be fixed. I think I already did too much damage before I realized it and now I just need to let it heal. I got the Arnica gel 7% and after using it all week it is getting better. I have had discoloration before but not this bad. I understand what you are saying but if I just kept going I felt I was doing some perminent damage.

Sounds exactly what i have now , i wouldnt stop hanging over this though bib has explained what it prolly is but at least your not the only one dont get pissed off about it just ease up and continue :)
