That is fine, any stretching is good stretching. As long as you are rehearsed with hanging you should do well. I would not skip the manual portion but you can trim it down to fit the hanging in. What is your hanging routine idea?
I deffinitely recommend adding hanging. With consistent hanging I am starting to notice so changes now. Especially in a flaccid state and soon to be just as noticeable erect.
