Well maybe it was good to take off, make sure to clean it thoroughly and next time use a better method to take it off

Indeed. Power will never cause this issue but a lack of skin room would. Work on getting that skin stretched out. there are many ways to do this, my favorite is the Testical Health Massage and Stretch, this really stretches the skin at the main points of concern, loosening the skin and allowing for better PE work.
